Amazing story of faith and forgiveness triumphing over hate and fear. Incredible life story that reveals the harsh truth about life under Sharia Law contrasted with her peace and love through her relationship with Jesus.

Classic story, terrible narration

I love this story despite the (accurate for the time period) trigger-happiness of the father and boys… way beyond providing for food and other necessities. But I can not listen for any length of time to this narrator. The story’s father already comes across as a bit self-important, and the narrator’s voice takes this to the point of annoyance and the character to seem insulting and generally unpleasant to be stuck on an otherwise lovely island with. I’ll stay with reading my old paperback copy.
