This book has a lot of songs throughout it and I didn't enjoy the way they were read at all.

Fun story

It was a fun story, but there were quite a few times I had to shake my head at how unbelievably dumb the characters were made to sound. For example: the characters weren't able to put the most obvious clues together at times until someone else pointed it out, or they were so surprised by something that shouldn't have been a surprise.

Feels strange to review this

What a tragedy this whole war was. Reading stories like this "brings to life" those who were affected and killed by this dark time. WW2 seems so far away until you get a peek into the mind of a young adult who actually lived through most of it; it feels much more personal now. Anne had the hope of having her diary published after the war and I think it would make her really happy to know that people are still reading her story 80 years later.

Courageous Story Told Well

Another great iteration and always great narration

One thing I notice about Devina Porter's narration is that I can always tell who is talking, even before the text says who is talking. She has a fantastic subtle way of giving each character a consistently unique voice

3 Books in 8 days; a new record for me!

I loved every minute of these books. I love history and specifically early American History. I also love a good story, and while there were definitely times in these books where something would happen just in time and I would think, "hmm, how convenient that it worked out just like it did," I still immensely enjoyed it and was entertained

Packed with helpful strategies!

I read this in order to help my wife, who worries constantly, and I'm glad I did. This book is packed with loads of helpful strategies, as well as real life examples of people using these strategies.

Fantastic Book about a Fantastic Concept!

This book teaches the concept of Ubuntu by telling a story of a man/company that were struggling. It follows the story of them discovering Ubuntu, defining it, implementing it, and then the positive evidence that resulted from their implementation. As a Christian, this concept is very similar to the second commandment for Christians to "love your neighbor as yourself." This book was very easy to listen to and the whole world would be a much more pleasant place if everyone implemented this concept in their lives!

Speed it up!

Great book, great narration. The only advice I have is to listen to it at 1.4x speed. The narrator reads pretty slowly.
