16 hours in and I'm bored to tears. A complicated world that at times makes no sense to me. Blah blah blah on relationships. Not much action in the bedroom or out of it. Never ending talk of everyone's situation. I'll get thru the rest of it eventually, and just hope things change. If not, this one will get deleted.

Uninteresting and uninspiring

Spoiler Alert... I thought from the reviews there was going to be something spectacular in the erotic scenes, but a little flogging, that's it. Huh. Besides that, I could not get interested in the story. MC seems to willing to please. I guess he's in love. Wasn't much to like about the world or a lot of the characters in it. I won't be re listening or following the series. It wasn't bad, it just didn't connect with me. I would like my credit back.

Hunder had to bring his politics into the story right off by writing about the assaasination of our currently sitting president. I was done at that point. I will be asking for my credit back... again.

Like so many authors that write series, Bevan is stringing it out for maximum profit. Once again this addition does not move the main plot line forward very much. He is still using the same (now getting tiresome) middle school toilet humor and he has added a bit of sex to maybe keep interest. I think I will just wait until this comes to an end and then buy the last book to see how it ended.

I gave it a try... but

Just not what I was expecting. I didn't really find that much humor in the story. Maybe it's just not my kind of humor. The main thing that ruined it for me was the MC. He's stupid, arrogant and just plain annoying. By the end of the book, I really wasn't paying much attention. I don't even remember how it ended. It wasn't what I would call bad, just not for me.

It was on sale, but that's about all I can say about it. I got through it and promtly forgot it. As harem stories go, there isn't much of that in this story. The story is disjointed and vague, at least to me.

This is actually a well written piece of erotica. The story is simple but good. A little bit of intrigue, a little bit of suspense and a whole lot of well written sex. Erica Bell narrates perfectly for the story. I will be watching for the next one.

It's crass gun porn filled with fanboy pandering action movie references. Do you like action movies? Do you like dark, edgy, hard-boiled heroes? Do you like fully automatic weapons blasting guys' heads off? How about product endorsements that are awkwardly placed between depictions of intense violence? Yeah? Then this book is for you!

Other reviews kept mentioning 'funny'. I didn't really find much of that here. Just over the top brutality, and completely unlikable characters. When the main 'bad guy' is mentioned as having skinned a child, I was finally done with this story.

The author filled the 15 hours of this book with very very detailed descriptions of gore and torture. I mean paragraphs of it. He created a world of hardly any likeable inhabitants (really... only one or two actually likable characters. The rest suck.) Top it off with hardly any real story to speak of and for me this was yet another bad purchase. I hate to do it since this will be the second return on this same credit this month (I'm on a roll of getting fooled by reviews and descriptions). I apologies to Audible for this but I will never want to listen to this title again. I have to return it.
