okay story, terrible characters

only half way through but struggling to finish.
the characters are so bad I root for them to die. I hate every one of them. I spend a lot of time skipping dialogue and monologues due to how unlikeable everyone is. it's like everyone is brain dead and sociopaths with the worst personality traits imaginable.
the author is either a master of creating the most unlikeable characters or projecting their own life experience.

if this was the end of the series it did it. honestly this story was an extention to the main story line and felt more as fan service to finish out the character lines. doesn't mean it was not a good listen.
if this is the last book it could end here and I would be satisfied. if the author reads this, keep it up, your first book in this series was absolutely killer. more work like this in the same universe bringing in people from other areas from the beginning of the virus would satisfy my desire to hear more about this universe, but flow with your own ideas.

The concepts this book lays out are great but i think they are very set to the period and have a hard time relating to them as the winds have change have been blowing since i was born. other then that i loved this book and think the movie adaptations are a perfect fit. The voice acting is perfect for the flow of this book too.
TL:DR - LISTEN TO THE BOOK IT GUD.
