I already knew it would be very dark from other reviews, so that was not as shocking as I thought it would be. what I didn't know was how confusing it would be at times. Many, many characters, that were hard to follow. Not sure what the lesbian part was needed for. Them being gay , of coarse didn't bother me, I just didn't see where it helped the story any. Some parts would really drag and I found myself wandering, but then it would become interesting. Of course now I lost and would have to back it up. Don't want to give anything away, but the particular "Mental Illness" that one of the main characters had, was very poorly written and I felt that it was also poorly researched.
The narrator was very good and I enjoyed listening to her.
All in all I would still recommend it if only so people will be more aware what really goes on in some people's minds and homes.

Historia
The Earth lies in ruins in the aftermath of an extraterrestrial invasion, the land devastated by a desperate war with no winners between mankind and a race of vicious, intelligent creatures. The seas are drying up while the atmosphere corrodes and slowly cooks any life remaining on the now desolate rock. Food is scarce, trust even more so, and the only people left alive all have done horrific things to stay that way.

I had a hard time putting this audio book down. It was different than any other SyFy about humans and aliens that I have every read. I hope there is a nother book coming out as I have become so involved with the characters that I now what to know how they are going to get along on their new planet. I wish they have the baby involved more and at first it seemed like they were going in that direction, but it didn't move any futher. The voice of Victor Bevine was perfect for this story. When he did the womans voice it didn't sound strange at all. I will probably read this book again in a few years from now.

I started listentin to this book and stay up day and night until it ended. Now it is 3:20 am and I don't think I'll be able to sleep. I won't tell you how it ends buy I am so disappointed that there isn't another book after this. I really need to know what happens after this. This and the very first one are diffenetly my favorite. It will keep you interested beyond the ending. It's sort of more of the same, only bigger, better and the end will leave you in a state of wonder.

I really liked this book till the end. Then it was like, boom it's over. It was such a shocker, that I looked to see if somehow I had skipped ahead several chapters. Nope, it's just over. Up until then it was pretty engaging and keep your interest. Unlike some of the reviews, the person who read for the young girl did not bother me a bit. I'm on the fence whether or not to recommend this book. I will not ever read it again.

But he has become embroiled in a struggle beyond any dream he could have had. The Narthani are a militant society intent on subjugating the Caedelli, the people he's come to identify with. i was really looking forward to this book and for the most part. i liked it. however it was mostly fighting and war like skirmishes over and over again. i gound myself zoning out and thinking about other things quite often. the fights were very hard to follow a.d except for when they attacked the house, (which was very interesting and got my attention real quick), the rest was at times boring.
Not sure if I'll get the next one.

Historia
What if you developed a technology that made it impossible for anyone to lie? About anything. Would this save humanity from itself? Or would it tear society apart? And just how far would power players around the globe go to stop it? Elias Gibson has invented such a technology. But will this lead to a glorious future, or to the collapse of civilization? Before Elias can answer this question, he finds himself battling for his very survival, and racing to uncover the identities and motives of the treacherous forces arrayed against him.

Good story, but
Revisado: 06-09-20
The story was good and I did enjoy it. However between the narrator and poor character development, I almost gave up on it. It did get somewhat better more than have way through. I loved the technology that was used, it more or less kept the story interesting, but please work on your characters. No one talks like they do and they were all very boring except for the main character. she was just annoying but at least believable.
I don't know if I feel more or less optimistic after reading this.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

end of times?
Revisado: 09-26-19
kept my interest for most of the book. The last 30 or so it kind of wandered off. but i still enjoyed it. It's not your usual Stephen King book in that their wasn't any weird spooky things going on, but there was your share of violence. The child abuse was hard to deal with but it probably won,t stop you from continuing reading it. Eas a little confusing at first as it goes from one story to another and doesn't come back to the first till almost the end. But it soon comes together and it works. If you like Steven King. you will like this book.

The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

I was hoping that this was going to be good. But it looks like I need to not rely on the views so much. This book was a lot like Room 14. which I really didn't like either Lots of strange creatures trying to slip into the this world and kill people. Boring underdeveloped characters and silly Sex scenes. Wish I hadn't wasted my credit.

don't bother.
Revisado: 05-03-19
I don't know how I manage to finish this book. it had to be one of the worst books I have ever struggled through. The whole book was about "Johnny" the alien trying to get back to his one and only. while being chased by a psychotic and sadistic, military guy. who wants nothing more than to kill him. As far as the rest of the book goes. I couldn't tell you. It was very disjointed and redundant, at the same time not really letting you know what was going on. I would ask for my money back but I listened to the whole thing and I don't like to return books that I actually listened to. No matter how bad they were. The narrator was ok, however the material was so boring it was impossible for him to do anything to improve it. Seriously, don't waste your credit.
