Poor old Amanda.
Revisado: 06-22-24
Great book! But the narrator makes Amanda sound like the wicked witch of the west, which is irritating.

Good end to the series in a fantastical way
Revisado: 04-07-24
The narrator makes every other guy sound like Snerdley, but overall pretty good. I had a few issues with the continuity of the storyline. As in a few things just don’t add up. It was a breathtaking race to the end and I did enjoy it.

Not what one would expect from the author.
Revisado: 01-26-22
The story was…uncomfortable. It could be ok if from a less talented author, but this one missed the mark. The storyline was ok, but I kept thinking I’d heard all this before in different variations. Somewhat disconnected and strange as well. To make it more unappealing, Mr. King has let President Trump live rent free in his head and it’s not entertaining. Not a Trump fan, but I read to escape, I don’t want politics. All the references and snide remarks don’t belong in fiction. Keep it on Twitter. Where was all the mystery, and supernatural elements that set Mr. Kings novels apart from the rest? The best part, the performance was outstanding and made the story entertaining.

I was pleasantly surprised at the twists and turns, especially when I had not yet figured it out. I also love Bronson Pinchot narrations. I will look for more of the authors books.

Just a bunch of trite, smarmy banter. Maybe if I had gotten further there might be so substance here but I just could not keep listening any more.

Performance without much else
Revisado: 01-18-20
This story could have been oh so much more interesting if it didn’t end in total disappointment. All build up but no substance. Too bad because the performance was great. The dialogue not authentic either

Ever considered drilling a hole in your head to deal with those pesky headaches? Probably not. Maybe that’s the point. Hard to believe these 2 are Docs with their juvenile humor. Kinda cute at first but annoying after a while.

Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Not bad, but not great.
Revisado: 05-04-19
I get that it’s very cool to have someone like John Waters read, but that lisp tho! Too distracting. And yes, the story is a bit jumbled up and predictable. This would be much better with a Netflix original treatment. I believe serializing it would help the story stay on course. The visuals would be great and the snarky humor would be more apparent.
