Once you start One, Two...He Is Coming for You, there is absolutely no turning back. Set in the Danish coastal town of Karrebaeksminde, the story follows journalist Rebekka Franck, who returns to her hometown with her six-year-old daughter. She is trying to escape her ex-husband and start a new life for her and her daughter when the small, sleepy town experiences a murder.

maybe it was the headline
Revisado: 09-24-15
It was stiff or stilted. I think it was the translation. Could have been a very very good listen, but either the narrator was too young sounding or the story just did not feel like it flowed.

Historia
Reeve LeClaire is a college student, dammit, not Daryl Wayne Flint's victim. Not anymore-not when Reeve is finally recovering a life of her own after four years of captivity. Flint is safely locked up in Olshaker Psychiatric Hospital, where he belongs. He is walking the grounds of the forensic unit, performing his strange but apparently harmless rituals. It seems that he is still suffering the effects of the head injury he suffered in the car crash that freed Reeve seven years ago. Post-concussive syndrome, they call it.

Kept thinking the writer was trying to be Stephen king but failing. Rather disappointed. Could have been much better book.

Historia
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

Need a main character - has too many main characte
Revisado: 10-24-12
This book has not just a main character it has many many main characters, it gets confusing following. After finishing the book I am relistening to it, because I know I missed something. There is no real clear plot. There is a great deal of details on all the characters in the book, but who is the main character? Not sure if it would have been better with a different narrator.

Any additional comments?
Okay I heard this was a top seller. That it was a fabulous book, so I bought it. How disappointing. The narrating is AWFUL! I listened to the first chapter and had to turn it off, could not stand the narrator anymore. I wasted a credit on this book just annoys me no end.

Historia
We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.
