Recommended on The Professional Noticer... so I already knew it would be good. It's better than I expected. Analogies in the book brought my Christian faith to life using politics and family.

Two things stood out that merge into one thing. Every detail of our life matters.

Hands up amazing. Must do, not must read

I started my business a year ago and could not figure out how I was supposed to get paid and definitely couldn't answer the question of how profitable my business was or when it would be. I just knew it wasn't currently profitable. Mike M gives you exact steps to take to not only make your business (any business in any industry) profitable but how to fall in love with your business again. If you love Dave Ramsey, and follow his Baby Steps as I have for almost a decade, then consider Mike M's style to be nice Uncle Dave. Mike doesn't scream at you. He lovingly tells you what I think Dave would for your business and both with the goal of getting you to Financial Freedom. Must DO!!!

Absolutely amazing, well read, and practical

Wow. This is a book I will add to my re-read list. a must. I could listen to this over and over again because the points are so useful. The Bible Stories in new ways that with that endearing Andy Stanley re-imagining. I absolutely love these questions and am asking key friends to hold me accountable to asking them before making important decisions.

Worth a second listen

If you like Christy Wright, you will love this book. It is full of practical stories and easy to grasp applications. I started this book, went off and did my own thing. My new small business did not take off. I went back to finish this book and heard advice to not do all the things I just finished doing wrong. Christy is relatable and the book is worth the listening... and applying.

Outstanding! Well researched challenge to norms.

I knew so much and yet learned so much. My own beliefs were turned upside down. Statements I used to make, I will no longer state because it's clear where those assumptions came from. This book is meant to encourage us all (not only people of color) to study to understand our past. The goal, as I understand it, is to learn our history completely in its impact to and by the world and not in isolation to the hurts done to just one people group. No victim mentality accepeted. No pouring guilt on others. Hardwork for all.

Fun listen, challenging the old normal

I learned of this book through a Dave Ramsey podcast. After many years of wishing to start a business again, this book has given me the steps to take to accomplish that goal. A goal without a plan is simply a wish. Now I have a plan.
The story is well written and half way through you forget that it's a financial book as the characters draw you in. Relatable, even if a hit exaggerated, to get the points across.

I enjoyed going on this journey with Phil.
His wisdom is handed out by the bucket full.
Honesty and luck and so many other defining moments. The most important thing I took away from this book is the people. Good work is done with friends.

Knowledgeable, sympathetic, and angry

I love that Malcolm Gladwell did something about his anger. When bad things happen and people complain my response is often "What are you going to do about it?". Malcolm Gladwell wrote an amazing book that explains bit by bit the tragedy that was the traffic stop gone awry of Sandra Bland.

The method in which he did it (a podcast style audiobook) is conceptually beyond it's time. Leave it to Gladwell to reinvent how to tell a story.
