I loved this biography! White's writing is detailed but smooth. Thorough but not cumbersome. Educational and entertaining. This work is as much about Chamberlain's academic life as much as his Civil War heroics.

One note for the publisher: The audio is too quiet and likely at the low end of the required RMS.

I've read multiple works on Jesse James, the Younger Brothers, and Confederate guerilla operations. This bio of James should be at the top of your reading list in this genre. Stiles provides a thorough telling of the political climate before, during, and after the Civil War. The narration is perfect.

I love business books that don't read like business books. This is a biography of a company. How they did it. No platitudes you've heard dozens of times. Randolph does not hold back from the good or the bad. Great read!
I don't recommend authors read their own books, but he did a find job.

Higgins will motivate you to leave the chains holding you down and pursue your true calling. He does this through his life story and other inspiring stories from those he knows. Most authors should not read their own books but his narration works on this one.
