Great Story!

First time listening to this type of book and I must say that I was impressed! I loved the story and the characters, but I can’t forget to how well the narrator performed.

People may ask why wasn’t it worthy of 5 stars? Here is my gripe, the writer left so much story on the table that the book should have been longer or there should at least be a second book to close up the numerous loose ends.

Is it worth it???

After the first book I almost stopped listening to the series since the narration was just so… not good. Well the narrator is still just as not good but story is just drawing me in and I almost have to listen now! Even with all the strange noises the narrator tries to make I still persevered.

The narrator almost ruins this book

After the title of my review I figure I should start off by saying the story and characters in the book were great! I will be listening to more in the series.

Now I should just give a word of warning that the narrator is a step above not good for this book. He tries to make sound effects which or bad and distracting, I was hoping they would end up being so bad it is funny but it didn’t happen.

As with all the other books in the Titan series the performance is excellent and the story itself is fun and entertaining. Here is the thing, I can’t find anything about a book 11 and if there isn’t at least one other book this series will have a strange series ending.

Gripping story with action adventure and a DRAGON!

Let me start this review by saying the story is great and I want to listen to more in the series. It struck a great balance of action, adventure, romance, and relatable characters.

I didn’t give it full marks for the story since it seemed to drag on for the first couple of hours and I thought I might give up on it, but then it all started to come together and became very enjoyable.

You may ask why it dragged on or at least felt like it dragged on and on, might have been the story but I feel it was the narrator. The narrator did a great job with his individual characters, really bringing them to life and providing each one a discernible voice. The thing that hit me wrong was the tone he used when narrating the non-conversational parts, where the story was setting the scene.

Loved this book!

I almost didn’t listen to this as the lead review that popped up on the audible app was a 1 star that left me pretty hesitant, but I was in between books and I was jonesing for one so I took the chance.

This book is definitely made for fans of sci-fi, litrpg books. The main character was a bit iffy at first but then he settled in and was funny, exciting, and easy to root for. The first book felt like it should have been longer especially since it didn’t even spawn a full year at the school but over all super enjoyable. I was sad I couldn’t listen to this book while I picked my toddler up from school because of the swear words but I wouldn’t think of trying to take them out as they fit this book and totally the main character.

What happened to the final Book!!!

I hesitated to get his the first book in the series because I heard has taken the George RR Martin path to completing the third book (i.e. he is taking forever to finish it!!!). Then I talked to a few other people that have similar audiobook tastes and said these books are amazing and the world building is a sight to behold (or hear). And it really was an amazing book and series this far with only a couple of slow parts. I just need the last book sooner rather than later or I will have to listen to these books again to refresh my memory. That isn’t a bad thing since these are great books but they a totally a time investment.

I need more!!!

Does anyone know if there is another book coming out? I was always wanting to know more about him since listening to the Hunger Games books. If you you always wanted to know more give it a listen.

Also I would like a prequel about the 1st quarter quell focusing on district 12 of course!

Good book but...

The book is great but the the audio book cast and sounds make it almost unlistenable. I am also not sure if the writing on this book was worse than the other two in the series or if it was just a more enjoyable narrator for each but he other two books in the series were very enjoyable.

Never would have thought that I would have enjoyed this "lit rpg" book as much as I did and I am so sad that there isn't a sequel that I can listen to right now!
