Historia
What if you found a way to send something back in time? But not weeks, days, or even minutes back. What if you could only send something back a fraction of a second? Would this be of any use? You wouldn't have nearly enough time to right a wrong, change an event, or win a lottery. Nathan Wexler is a brilliant physicist who thinks he's found a way to send matter a split second back into the past. But before he can even confirm his findings, he and his wife-to-be, Jenna Morrison, find themselves in a battle for their very lives.

STRUGGLED TO FINISH
Revisado: 05-01-23
If you are looking for a story about traveling in time, this is NOT it. It honestly is nothing but dialogue and it doesn't get to the meat of the story until about chapter 48. By then, you are almost finished with the book.
REALLY SORRY I PURCHASED THIS BOOK.

Historia
After an exchange student with bubonic plague turns up in a Reno hospital, a contractor with identical symptoms dies in Los Angeles. The government‘s official stance is that the cases are isolated and the outbreak is under control. But George Mack, a 30-year public health veteran, quickly realizes this is no ordinary plague. The death toll is too high, and the spread pattern make no sense. As Reno’s hospitals fill with victims, Mack begins to believe that there is more to the epidemic than the CDC is letting on - and that he must take drastic steps if he hopes to save his city.

BORING!!!
Revisado: 05-18-15
What disappointed you about Inferno: A Novel?
I listened to this book as I took my dog for a walk each day. The ONLY reason I finished it was because I needed to listen to something as I find walking an unending exercise in futility, but for medical reasons, I do walk as often as I can. As someone else said, if you are going to the places mentioned it this book, just listen to this book. You will not need a tour guide. AND it is about as interesting as that. In fact, a book acting as a tour guide would keep you focused so much more than Inferno. It probably would have pictures. This book is just a narration of renaissance art with a slight sideline of a virus that would infect the world and reduce human population. Although, this would have added a great deal of interest and intrigue, it was hardly ever addressed.
Has Inferno: A Novel turned you off from other books in this genre?
I do not think I will ever read Dan Brown's books again. I used to enjoy his writing, but once he gets started on a theme, he will not let it go. He needs to get to the point that he writes to everyday people, not just about HIS interests.
Have you listened to any of Paul Michael’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The narration is great.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Inferno: A Novel?
Most of the parts describing the art. There was so much about that, I lost complete interest in it. Just too much!
Any additional comments?
Complete waste. If I had been sitting down reading for all that time, even though that is an activity I enjoy and hardly ever don't finish a book I start, I would have considered this one a lost cause...
