I’ve loved the character of Roman since introduced and I’m so glad he got his own story. I look forward to hearing more from Roman. The narrator captured both Roman’s dry humor and his calm acceptance and commitment to his dark god.

Wonderfully excruciating

I LIVED this book. However, this was likely the hardest in the series for me to listen to because I HATE when Tybalt and Toby are separated from each other. Once we got further into the story, I could listen more regularly. Seanan McGuire is a master at pulling you into her world and making you care deeply and empathize with her characters. This book was no different and maybe even more so.

Another winning book in the series

Another poignant and deeply satisfying journey into the land of faerie with #TheKillingFrost. I hate finishing Seanan McGuire’s books, because I have such a serious book hangover afterwards. They are always worth it! I can’t imagine anyone else other than Mary Robinette Kowal portraying all these flawed, intriguing, and ultimately wonderful characters with such love and subtlety.
