Historia
The novel opens in contemporary Missouri, where Lansdowne, whose friendly exterior masks a history of covert missions and lethal violence, is still recovering from the death of his beloved wife one year prior. But as autumn gives way to winter, the outside world intrudes in a bloody fashion: A string of attacks on locals yields a spiraling body count; the apparent culprit is an animal extinct for thousands of years.

Loved The Wolf's Moon on audio!
Revisado: 08-24-15
Would you listen to The Wolf's Moon again? Why?
Yes. The narrator had a good voice for reading this book. His voice was pleasant without intruding on the story. It was almost like listening to a friend tell a story.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I had read the book before and wasn't sure that listening to something I'd already read would hold my attention. That definitely was not the case as I found myself wrapped up in the story all over again.
What about Mark Westfield’s performance did you like?
He read the story well with no hesitation as you might find from someone who was not familiar with the book. He gave just the right vocal inflections for each character, even the female characters and brought them to life.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I started it on a trip and got so wrapped up in listening that I was almost 50 miles past my destination before I realized I had missed my exit. For safety's sake I don't think I'll be listening on road trips unless someone else is driving.
Any additional comments?
The last book I listened to was on 78rpm records back when I was a child of 6 or 7. It was actually an audio recording of the Disney movie "So Dear to My Heart". I was reading on a 6th grade level in the 2nd grade and loved to read. I preferred to read the book for myself. It was a very nice surprise to find that I really enjoy audio books now that I'm in my mid-60s I am patiently waiting for the sequel to The Wolf's Mon.
