so bland and boring

This is quite possibly the most boring cultivation novel I've ever read or listened to. The Human Dao? It's about as dumb as it sounds. The MC's power is basically low level empathy. There is very little story and a whole lot of over explanation of literally everything.

Seems lazy and repetitive

The first few books weren't bad but at this point something more needs to happen. I don't care about the psycho-babble BS or the main characters love life. He keeps mentioning going to bed with his GF and it's kinda getting old. We get it already.

Good Story but with a lot of B.S.

This is a great story but the author needs to stop beating around the bush. He starts going into an explanation on why everyone hates the main characters mother and then backs off like 15 freaking times and instead goes on and on and on about his feelings. His heart goes pitter patter, his heart explodes with joy and emotion and and and he just isn't ready yet. It's total freaking B.S. I found myself screaming at the main character for being such a twerp.

Very well written

For a first book this is very well written. Travis Baldrige is excellent as always and a fantastic choice for narrator. I can't wait for the next book.

Love this series

Great first book from a new author

With the exception of the author's over use of certain words and phrases, this was an exceptional story and the start of a great series.
Seriously though, you will laugh at the author's extreme over use of the words immediately and some, along with the phrase "puked up a mouth full of blood". It really annoyed me at first but eventually I just found it funny.

Like I said, the story is good but the main character is a cringey, petulant litlle turd. He describes every female character in excruciating neckbeard fashion, going on and on and on about how "sexy" they are. It's just bad. The MC is also really, really, really stupid.

Good book but Gunner is getting dumber by the day.

Good book, but the main character is such a whiney little idiotic twerp that it almost ruins the book. add in that he's scamming on two NPC elf girls while whining about not being able to find his old girlfriend and constantly making poor decisions and drug use. He is one of the most unlikable main characters i've ever read about.
