Great Story- Terrible Female Narrator

I read or listen to ALL Kristen Ashley books and own the majority of them. I love this series. All that said, the female narrator really killed her part of this audiobook. It was just totally over the top to the point that I could not enjoy the chapters she read. I will have to finish this one in the free kindle version. Her ridiculously bad acting made it unbearable and I cannot finish it. I only have an hour to go but I can’t take her any longer. UGH! Give me Susanna Jones, Stella Bloom or better yet Abbey Craden but this one was a tragic miss for me. 😫😫

Worst KA ever-

What kind of message are we sending when a man tells a woman cheating is part of their life and should just be accepted?? The physical abuse after is even worse. I agree this book has no H&H, just a pathetic doormat & a total douchebag.

Teen Drama Poorly Done

I love both narrators and tried to give this book a chance. It just felt like an old pre-teen type story with an immature male & a weak female. Just could not finish this predictable & lackluster little book. Sorry.

Are there no real Irish narrators???

The story is great but the horrible narration is an awful distraction. I have listened to both of these narrators before and like them both. That said, NEITHER do the Irish accents well and it is like nails on chalkboard. Please, for the love of all that is holy, hire one real Irish narrator. That would have made me buy the rest of the series but I don’t think I can handle the terrible butchered brogues for any further books. Totally bummed.

REALLY Struggling to listen

Do not waste a credit on this one. I was SO excited for Rix & Alex’s story. Sadly, the fact that neither narrator has a clue what a man’s voice or intonations should sound like is just painful (literal nails on chalkboard) to listen to-UGH! The narrators for Chasing Serenity (book 2 in this series) were fantastic. Why, in the name of all that is holy, would you not continue to use them for the next book. The female is not terrible but the male does not sound, even remotely, like the “alpha male” that Rix is portrayed as in the prior book. They made Judge sounds like an uneducated redneck (totally opposite of Chasing Serenity). Both the male and female narrators gave Rix this nasally, whiny just plain awful voice. The male narrator just sounds like an average middle aged office worker and does not evoke any “manly” emotion that one would think a former firefighter turned alpha male hiking, biking, well-built Hero. I am not sure I can keep listening. I am about a third of the way through and the terrible acting is just stealing the joy from this story. Maybe I will read it on Kindle instead.
