Historia
When Beth Michaels hightailed it out of the hole-in-the-road town she grew up in, she only had two goals. One - get as far away as quickly as possible, and two -never set foot in her parent's home again. But when she receives a heart breaking call from her childhood best friend, Jen, she has no choice but to turn her '56 Ford pickup back in the direction of Salem, Missouri to attend a funeral. There's a new local in town when Beth arrives, and suddenly, it ain't all that easy for her to remember her rules for dating.

Wonderful coming of age story
Revisado: 01-04-16
This was a wonderful, sweet read. The story of a girl who is trying to escape the town she grew up in comes back. Peggy's writing is smooth, relatable, and living in the South, I experience it everyday. The relationship between Beth and Matthew feels right and unfolds beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And Heidi Mattson's narration fits the story to a T.
Highly recommended.

The mayhem continues!
Revisado: 05-01-15
I loved the first Time of Death book, and this picks up right where we left off. Festa keeps you on your toes with plot twists and the number of deaths - no one is safe is that makes you cherish every moment spent with these characters that much more. Emma is still that wise-cracking protagonist that we fell in love with, and while this book is darker than the first one, you never stop cheering for her. Festa's writing is amazing, adding in anecdotal pieces to really get us into Em's head during the zombocalypse.
Plus, there's lots more Daphne.
I've listened to a few audio books, and Sarah Tancer is one of the best narrators out there. Seriously, I want her to read my eulogy at my funeral.

Historia
Fifteen-year-old Therese watches her parents die. While in a coma, she meets the twin sons of Hades-Hypnos (the god of sleep) and Thanatos (the god of death). She thinks she's manipulating a dream, not kissing the god of death and totally rocking his world. Than makes a deal with Hades and goes as a mortal to the Upperworld to try and win Therese's heart, but not all the gods are happy. Some give her gifts. Others try to kill her. The deal requires Therese to avenge the death of her parents.

Great start. I'll read/listen to more!!

Listened to this gem on the way to work, and it was a great read. The storyline was great, a unique take on the Greek Gods that combined the best parts of Percy Jackson with the best parts of Twilight - in the best way. The narrator did a great job reading and distinguishing the different voices.
I'll be listening to the next one.

Awesome!!
Revisado: 11-01-14
This was a great listen on my way to work. The story was action-packed, and the snarky attitude of the main character had me chuckling along. She was really relatable. The story was fast and full of the gore and horror that you'd expect from a zombie novel. Festa does a great job balancing the horror with the humanistic elements and I really felt for these characters. Nobody's safe, and that's just how it would be in a zpocalypse.
Awesome book and story.
Kudos to the narrator for a great performance as well. I don't listen to many audiobooks, but she does rank high among the narrators. I wish she'd do more.
I received a copy from the author for an honest review.
