such an emotional rollercoaster time travel romance
Revisado: 01-02-25
this book is a beautiful punch to the heart. amelie and henri’s story continues after the major cliffhanger in book three and it isn’t an easy one—especially for amelie/sarah. it is full of time travel, war, sadness, love, betrayal and anger. in the end we get answers to so many questions, and sarah and henri finally get their happy ending.
my emotions are all over the place because of this book. my poor heart is not ok, and the audio really intensified all of those feelings. the duet performance from Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East was, once again, amazing. their portrayal of sarah and henri, is absolutely perfect—from their personalities to their emotions to the tension between them. if you haven’t read this series i highly recommend listening to the audiobooks. and if you’ve already eyeball read them, you must to do an audio reread asap!

captivating time travel romance
Revisado: 12-31-24
amelie is a reluctant time traveler making her final jump to pre-war france at the behest of her sister who keeps showing up in her nightmares, begging her to help marie. she arrives in france fifty years prior and starts on an unexpected adventure. she meets marie-therese, who is charming and sweet and henri, who is does not want her there at all.
henri and amelie’s story is full of twist and turns, slow burn tension, mystery and truly captivating romance. it is an emotional rollercoaster of a book, and i was on the edge of my seat the entire time… i am actually still on the edge because that cliffhanger, wow.
i think the audio for this book, and the entire series, is an absolute must. Samantha Brentmoore is amelie. you can actually feel everything through her words. the frustration, the fear, the guilt, the love. it is like listening to a friend tell a story you never want to end. and Shane East is perfect for henri, making his protective, selfless character bleed from the book and into my soul, even without his pov. their voices together in this duet really bring the emotion and tension to an another level. i couldn’t stop listening once i started.
the parallel series is two separate duets set in different times in the same spellbinding, time traveling world. i honestly wasn’t sure if anyone could compare to nick and quinn from the first duet, but amelie and henri are giving them a run for their money.

a beautiful, emotional romance
Revisado: 11-27-24
thea is bartending at a fancy hotel when the sexiest man she’s ever seen walks in to her bar. she knows a man like that would never take a second look at her in the real world, so she throws caution to the wind and has the night of her life—no names, no get to know you chats, just passion.six years later thea is a single mom, living a quiet, simple life in montana when the sexy stranger, father of her child, shows up—and logan kendrick is everything she remembered him to be.
logan, thea and charlie are the sweetest. thea is one tough cookie. i love how she really let logan into charlie’s life. for a while logan is completely clueless, selfishly thinking he knows best, but once he gets over that he is absolutely swoon worthy. i was a puddle on the floor from the way he always has thea’s back and how he loves charlie with everything he has from the second he meets her.
the audio, done in duel narration, is really great. Maxine Mitchell took thea’s emotional turmoil from the page and injected it right in to my veins. and Aaron Shedlock is spot on with how logan walks the line between confident and cocky.

Historia
When you’re an artist, everything has to be perfect. Or so I thought, until my professor told me my perfection was boring and unoriginal. Studying abroad in Florence has taught me one thing: I know nothing when it comes to what makes art truly beautiful. So, with my professor's words in my ear, I step outside one evening and decide to say yes to any and everything I’m faced with until the sun rises.

beautifully written, angsty, nostalgic romance
Revisado: 07-28-24
this book is pure emotional poetry. a perfect summer romance full of angsty drama and 90s nostalgia, with a tortured hero that’s hard to love and a girl learning to love herself.
harley is studying art abroad in italy where her art teacher says her work is predictable—and that is not what she expected. but liam, the aloof and indifferent student from her class, is praised for his art. she can’t understand how he excels while barely trying and she despises him for it. so she decides to let go of her perfectionist ways for a night, and liam joins her for an unexpected journey for both of them.
their romance takes a bit of a back seat throughout, but this book will sweep you off your feet with the most beautiful story of self love, friendship, forgiveness and hope.
i can not recommend the audio enough. hannah chiclana makes you feel all the characters emotions, despite this being a single pov. she is phenomenal.

quick, smalltown, single mom romance
Revisado: 05-13-24
small town, found family, single mom, age gaps, secret billionaire and a little bit of mystery 💜
heartwood lake is a cute small town full of all the fun characters—and the home of a witness protection program, so there are plenty of people who come and go quickly. the most recent new comers are the kershaw’s. they aren’t your average family but they do bring the drama with their crazy history. wren is a single mom and town doctor who really needs help. drake kershaw just so happens to be a world renowned surgeon in need of work. they go from unsure to love pretty fast so i felt like i wanted better interactions and build up to their connection. i actually liked the relationship between drake and milo, wren’s son, the most. i like the town and love wren’s found family. plus the dynamics of drake’s actual family are truly wild. this is a good start to the series even if i was left wanting a little more.
i listened to the audio and it is a quick, enjoyable listen at 6.5 hours and Grace Grant and Patrick Zeller really packed a punch with their narration. so well done.

Rylan Keller is dreading the start of spring semester. After choosing a college across the country and spending the past fall abroad, she’ll be a Holt University student. And reluctantly agreeing to tutor a player, then coming face-to-face with the guy you thought you’d never see again. Aidan Phillips has a reputation on campus. One he’s carefully curated to include limited reliability or responsibility.

sweet and spicy
Revisado: 05-07-24
a one night stand with the coach’s daughter, but they both have no clue 🔥
this book has all the right things for a sweet and spicy romance. forbidden, forced proximity, no third act breakup and hockey—yes, please.
aiden is a playboy hockey player that is coasting through life, ignoring his family problems, never really motivated to excel at anything. and rylan is the coach’s daughter that just transferred to the school wanting to start over, who agrees to tutoring aiden at the request of her father. their attraction is obvious through the entire book, while the relationship chemistry is a little more of a slow burn, full of banter and understanding.
cute and super easy to read. i flew through the audio, never wanting to press pause. Conner Crais and Erin Mallon do an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
i love holt hockey.

hallmark x port snow, sweet second chance romance
Revisado: 04-30-24
Need a quick dose of Christmas spirit? Here it is, right here. Believe me when I tell you that this book is a fast journey of sweet, funny holiday goodness. Caleb broke Nola’s heart years ago and has regretted it ever since. Nola, back in town after a breakup, will go to hilarious lengths to avoid seeing him. Their second chance at love starts with the help of a romantic, meddling mail man who delivers anonymous pen pal letters back and forth to the pair. They may think they loath Christmas, but the cute correspondence turns in to ooey gooey holiday cheer.
I really enjoyed this short story. Especially getting to revisit Port Snow, if only for a second. I flew through it reading and listening simultaneously via whispersync and loved every bit. Carly Robins and Aaron Shedlock do an amazing job bringing this story to life. Just be warned, it will end before you want it to because you will always want more from these adorable small town characters. So know going in it will be very short and very sweet.

Historia
Maren Kelly and her friend Penny may be lost in the Scottish Highlands, yes. They may be caught in the blizzard of the century, sure. But despite their dire straits, Maren is going to honor her ailing mother’s wish for them to experience all the magic, mystery, and whimsy Scotland has to offer, even if she freezes to death trying. When they’re rescued by the dashing Duncan Campbell, who seems like he walked straight out of the seventeenth century, Maren is more than a wee bit bewildered.
