Really good
Revisado: 12-09-24
This is a great listen. I really enjoyed it. Sam and Sarah Fisher are both so bad*ss. The family "dynamic", between father and daughter makes you care about more than just the action.

First came the news that a flying saucer had landed in Iowa. Then came the announcement that the whole thing was a hoax. End of story. Case closed. Except that two agents of the most secret intelligence agency in the US government were on the scene and disappeared without reporting in. And four more agents who were sent in also disappeared. Saves time, refresh technique
Revisado: 11-20-24
Since you can listen to audiobooks no matter what you are doing, you can save time. I've always liked the "dummies" and "idiots" books. This one does not disappoint. I can listen to refresh my canning technique and make sure I am still doing it correctly. If you want to start canning, this is a good point to start at. It is explained basic, and simple ensuring safety is priority.

Began kinda slow......
Revisado: 07-22-24
Gotta admit, the beginning starts a touch slow. I am so glad I kept listening. I really enjoyed the story, and the narration. Would definitely recommend, and will check out more of the books.

Talk about the ending being a shocker! Give the story a listen, if not for the twist ending.

Historia
An accident during the construction of a tunnel beneath the Bering Strait leads to the discovery of a network of caverns and evidence that hints at the survival of a primitive human species. Led by DARPA technologist Reinhard Thyssen, a team of experts from around the globe is dispatched into the subterranean maze to discover all they can before the caves completely flood. Something lurks in the darkness, though. A creature has evolved into a predator unlike any the world has ever known, and it's up to the scientists to make sure that it never reaches the surface.

He's written way better
Revisado: 06-09-24
I love the Unit 51 series. So, I thought to check out more of his audiobooks. Even though this does share some similarities, it's not even close in quality. There were times when it was good, and figured it was just slow moving. It's worth a listen, if it's free.

Historia
On a freezing February day, a stranger emerges from out of the gray to request a room at a local provincial inn. Who is this out-of-season traveler? More confounding is the thick mask of bandages obscuring his face. Why does he disguise himself in this manner and keep himself hidden away in his room? Aroused by trepidation and curiosity, the local villagers bring it upon themselves to find the answers.

Revisado: 06-04-23
This is a great listen. There are a couple parts that drag on, but that can be forgiven. To be honest, I listened to it in one sitting. Which I don't remember listening to any other audiobook this long. I do recommend.

Historia
In December 1975, the Lutz family moved into their new home on suburban Long Island. George and Kathleen Lutz knew that, one year earlier, Ronald DeFeo had murdered his parents, brothers, and sisters in the house, but the property - complete with boathouse and swimming pool - and the price were too good to pass up. This is the shocking true story of an American dream that turned into a nightmare beyond imagining for the Lutz family, who were forced to flee their new home in terror.

Historia
His vengeance against the gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive...and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series - satisfying combat, breathtaking scale, and a powerful narrative - and fuses them anew.

Never played the game, but the story is great
Revisado: 05-08-23
Let me first say, I have never played any of the games. Not a big fan of "hack and slash" games. But, the story is really good! I enjoyed it from start to finish. Whether you played the game or not, the story is worth listening to.

Historia
The warning was inscribed on the entrance of the hidden tomb, forgotten for millennia in the sands of mystic Egypt. Then the archaeologists and grave robbers came in search of the fabled Jewel of Seven Stars, which they found clutched in the hand of the mummy. Few heeded the ancient warning, until all who came in contact with the Jewel began to die in a mysterious and violent way, with the marks of a strangler around their neck.

It's 50/50 for me
Revisado: 04-24-23
I did enjoy most of the story. The beginning 1/2 to 2/3 was the best part. I really was enjoying the story. The last maybe 1/3 of it kind of dragged on. I honestly, in my opinion thought the ending was lackluster. I do recommend giving it a listen.
