Historia
Seventeen-year-old Xochi is on her own in San Francisco. On a visit to Golden Gate Park, she meets Pallas, a precocious 12-year-old with a rockstar family that lives in one of the city's storybook Victorian mansions. Xochi accepts a position as Pallas's live-in governess and quickly becomes part of the band's household. But on the night of the Vernal Equinox, as a concert afterparty rages in the house below, Xochi and Pallas perform a pagan ritual that unintentionally summons a pair of ancient creatures devoted to righting the wrongs of Xochi's adolescence.

Still Confused...
Revisado: 06-09-22
There was just SO much happening in this book, that it was really hard to keep up with the actual story. I felt like the author wrote the book to get a message out but she kept forgetting she put certain aspects into the story that she had to haphazardly throw it back in when she remembered. It's a good concept, yes, but it needs so much work. There shouldn't be so many different things happening in the story that the reader can barely keep up with who is who and what is what. If you want to have a magical theme in the book, give a better focus on the magic rather than just "Oh! Look! A thing happened!" and then just move on to something else. If you want to write a story about a girl who struggled with sexual abuse, do that, but don't throw in a bunch of other things to make it seem like you're trying to cover the bad with a little bit of sparkle (i.e. magic). It could be a good story, but it's too erratic.
