Story moves fast so pay attention

I mostly listen to audiobooks when I’m working and had to rewind soooo many times, especially at the beginning. The story moves really fast with a lot of characters so some amount of attention is required. This would be a fantastic listen on a long drive. What a fun surprise that Connor Ratliff was on here! I loved his podcast Dead Eyes about how Tom Hanks “fired” him off so this is a funny redemption in a way.

I’ve told all my friends to read this book

This is an entirely relatable book for anyone with even the tiniest bit of family trauma. Jeanette doesn’t seem to hold anything back or preach about how to do things right. The struggle is real and I appreciate her honesty. Plus, her stories from behind the scenes as a child actor are really interesting. Whether you watched iCarly or not you will enjoy this book.

I had a hard time getting into this book. I really hate to say this but I felt bored at times. This book had aspects that I really love like an intertwining story. Overall, I probably would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic Storytelling with a Powerful Message
