The last book was definitely not as low stakes as I would have liked, with the looming threat from you know who & him constantly knocking them down every other chapter. This book was strait town builder and grinding to get different classes. Hope the next few are more like this book!

He now needs to enter the Tower and fight demons with the same person who betrayed him. As if that wasn't enough, he's pretty sure the former Super-Rookie and wonder kid on his team is actually a ticking time bomb, just waiting to explode.

If you have any doubt if the credits are worth it, let me ease your mind….Buy these books now!! What an incredible series so far! I gobbled these books up in a few days and my only complaint is that it’s over. Had happy tears in my eyes at the end, and felt like I lost a friend when the last book ended. Imagine Sci Fi/ fantasy - technology mixed with magic, with an emphasis placed on killing demons, the companionship/ schooling that you see in Harry Potter, and you have the quest academy. Bravo Brian, thank you for creating a new, wondrous world I can escape to!

Performance incredible… Characters incredible… But (spoiled ahead) the god awful amount of times every one of the good guys gets kidnapped and or put in chains really is getting annoying. A literally has been like 6 times so far! I can only imagine how ridiculous the next book will be… Unsure if I will even read it…

Fantastic continuation of the series as well as a great performance by the narrator. However, only complaint I have as long as many people within the litrpg community was the many, many side stories that no one cares about. Other then that, cannot wait for book 8 (hopefully with less side character stories).

Fantastic, what a fun ride! Something like the expanse, mixed with journey to the center of the earth. As the author indicated, this was originally written as a screen play, which would absolutely make this a fun movie (and easy to translate into said movie) please make this a movie and please make this a series!

Surprisingly he was world building and magic system for a lesser known/ slice of life story! Deff lower stakes which my anxiety appreciates.. Can’t wait to see where this story goes in book 2! Narrators did a great job and I definitely enjoy having a male and female narrator!

Yet another fantastic cosy fantasy set in the cursed cocktails universe! A bit more adventure in this one, but plenty of taverns, quests and tales of past adventures abound… Narrator hit this one out of the park as well.. I hope Rowland keeps writing books in this universe!
