This book is written by And for 20. Somethings living in big cities. Not relatable to a 73-year-old woman living in a rural area with the same desire to have a dry month.

Saccharin sweet story
Revisado: 04-30-23
I agree that it was a sweet story. But there was too much sweetness to make it an interesting story for me. It unfolded just as I expected leaving no drama, climax. Not my cup of tea!

Historia
In 1912, scientist Marie Curie spent two months on the British seaside at the home of Hertha Ayrton, an accomplished mathematician, inventor, and suffragette. At the time, Curie was in the throes of a scandal in France over her affair with Paul Langevin, which threatened to overshadow the accomplishment of her second Nobel Prize. Performed by Kate Mulgrew and Francesca Faridany at the Minetta Lane Theatre, this play by Lauren Gunderson is an ode to two remarkable women.

The women were wonderful to listen to. The story was interesting and portrayed a beautiful friendship between two women both working in a man's world. Highly recommend.

Historia
Lucy Barton is a writer, but her ex-husband, William, remains a hard man to read. William, she confesses, has always been a mystery to me. Another mystery is why the two have remained connected after all these years. They just are. So Lucy is both surprised and not surprised when William asks her to join him on a trip to investigate a recently uncovered family secret—one of those secrets that rearrange everything we think we know about the people closest to us.

Painful to listen to
Revisado: 01-07-23
The book should have been titled" The Ramblings of Lucy". It was dragging on and I kept listening because I was hoping that something would happen. The narrator read like a timid woman and I sped narration up to 1.2 to get the book to the purpose of writing it, never got there, for me.
