Anne Stuart does it again. Stuart writes for the intelligent reader. The Heroine is strong, educated, has endured emotional loss and yet, perseveres through, while living an independent life. However, Stuart is honest. Stuart depicts women as we truly are: our insecurities with body image, striving to please perfectionistic parents, failed relationships yet most of all, the vulnerability which lies in each of us when it all seems to be too much and we so desire to have strong arms to hold us while we let flow a good cry. The narration is first class talent as usual and I commend Stuart for her careful choice in the narrator she chooses for her novels. We the reader are never disappointed. A reader can always be certain without first listening to a sample that each and every audiobook narration is performed brilliantly!!!

I am a regular reviewer of audio books. The narrative was interesting and I am sure it would have been a worthy "read". However, never before have I heard a more horrible narration of a story than by this narrator, Sarah Coomes. It was almost painful to listen too.

Anne Stuart is simply flawless in her writing style, characterizations and storylines. I am forever crushing on the male leads, identifying with the female leads: educated, yet are flawed with insecurities from everyday situations which all women regardless of whether they have experienced the event or not, can certainly relate too. The reader will gain inside knowledge regardless of the setting and understand the depth of emotions from not just our lead characters but even our co's. I laugh aloud at times and cry at the HEA's. I have not found one poorly acted narrators yet to any of Stuart's stories. I would encourage any person who is not familiar with Anne Stuart to invest the time to explore this remarkable talent.

There must be some sort of criteria that has to implemented so that a perfectly well- written narrative is not completely butchered by a narrator who cannot even decipher between two different characters: one male and one female. It does not matter that Audible will refund us payment for a book.... It is just so frustrating that a narrator cannot have at least enough talent to have a couple of male leads to choose from that do not sound like women.

Dani Harper has written a brilliant combination of romance, myth, belly- laughing humor, sigh- heartwarming situations that speaks to each of us! "Storm Warrior " is the second novel to her Grim Trilogy. I read the first, and both are stand alone stories with HEA's and yes... one gains insight to ponder and wonder about ourselves and others long after the story ends: the mark of a great author. The narrator Justine Eyre is absolutely wonderful. Her ability to craft voices so specific to the many characters truly makes the reader forget we are only listening to "one" character. I am so grateful for the hours of enjoyment I have received from these uniquely talented individuals!

Frustrating Narrating Undeserving of Excellent Performance

After listening to many audiobooks as I take breaks from my now completed second college degree, I consider Susan Duerden to be by far, among the finest audio- performers today. Author Eloisa James, regardless of which narrative she weaves, always is the perfect match for Ms. Duerden's talent. Unfortunately, other authors such as Tracy Goodwin, in "Dance with Deception " truly is not worthy of Ms. Duerden's talent. The narrative was so frustrating as the female heroine constantly fluctuated in her ability to make a decision. Once we the audience are provided with the subplot to better understand her confusion, we expect the narrative to also affect her to a better understanding of her confusion. However, chapter after chapter the heroine continues to flip back-and-forth. I could not like her anymore and actually wanted the hero to walk away from her. I will never read a narrative by this author again. I only choose the book because of Susan Duerden.

Great Narrative: Poor Narrator

I truly do not wish to write a poor review for any artist , but I write this one in the hopes that the audio narrator will take the well intentioned critique I offer . The book is exceptional and I will read it without audio. However, I have listened to Ms. Dawe in other audiobooks and she is exceptional when she is acting a character. However , when she is not, there is an annoying lecturing , almost yelling tone literally at the very first minute of the narration. It continues throughout the entire narrative and it becomes grating. If she could soften her tone and offer a less "in your face " delivery, it would be a joy to continue to listen to the complete audiobooks I have purchased in the past . There is always a sense of urgency to her delivery where it is not needed to serve the narrative. The listener becomes so frustrated and it is impossible to even relax. To date , I have paid and deleted four ( 4) audiobooks due to Ms. Dawe and her lecturing, and the harsh- tonality where none is needed in the narrative. Please understand that I am an individual who has studied the theatre arts at two of the finest international schools so I do not write this review in a careless or mean spirited manner . Your talent is evident, however, I wish you well to find a voice for the areas I have mentioned . Once again , I
wish you well and will seek your talents at some later date.
