Moriarty the Hero?
Revisado: 10-26-22
Amazing re imagining of the Holmes /Moriarty struggle. I can see the out of control arrogance of Holmes creating a monster used by the Crown. Moriarty my have been pushed into a life of crime, but he was very good at it. Moriarty saw EVERYTHING. as an equation to solve. Add to this the skills of the actors and you have a listen that was just, well, incredible.

The world has changed. Now, when someone is murdered, they almost always come back to life—and there are professionals, called “dispatchers”, who kill in order to save lives, to give those near the end a second chance. Tony Valdez is a dispatcher, and he has never been busier. But for as much as the world has changed, some things have stayed the same. Greed, corruption, and avarice are still in full swing.

John Scalzi genius
Revisado: 10-17-22
All three of the Dispatcher stories are brilliant stories. Science Fiction ( or in this case maybe fantasy) is best when it explores an extraordinary event effects society. Scalzi adding our recent Pandemic brought it home because literally we have been running from death for 2 years. I hope more of these stories are produced.

Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

A fine Dresden Story and performance by Mr. Butcher. I have not forgiven him for what happen in the last book, but it's a start.

I am going to miss Murphy
Revisado: 04-25-21
When Murphy died I was driving. I nearly broke the steering wheel. I have not been floored by a death since I read Teriabitha. I had been waiting a long time for the next Dresden stories. I am satisfied, and sad. I will say that the short story with the idea of Maab watching Frozen was the best .

Good Bosch Story
Revisado: 03-29-20
To have a Bosch book read by Titus Welliver, the actor who plays Bosch, was outstanding. He brings all his talents to the entire book and to every characters. His performance lifted a pretty standard story. That is not a bad thing. Long running series, like Bosch and Spenser, become more about the characters we love and the story is secondary to the reader catching up with our characters.

Jumbled Start
Revisado: 01-09-20
The story is a jumbled mess to begin with. I had no idea what was going on. But, little by little, the story unraveled in a fine yarn. The reader brings it all to life. A fun listen.
