Historia
Fitzwilliam Darcy is a successful young barrister with a bright future. His late uncle has guided his career, made him his heir, and even selected a bride for him—sight unseen—whom he’ll meet and marry upon her majority. Who could have predicted that making the acquaintance of Miss Elizabeth Bennet in Meryton would throw those careful plans into disarray? Elizabeth Bennet doesn’t know what to make of “Fitz” Darcy, who intrigues and draws her notice like no other.

Although I'm not a huge fan of this genre, the rich language & intricate storyline mesmerized me.

A Sweet Respite
Revisado: 07-12-22
Listening to this exquisite saga was a welcome escape from the real world. Leslie Walton provided the exacting details and plausible logic necessary for me to enjoy a rare flight of authentic fantasy.

Historia
Lydia Quixano Pérez lives in the Mexican city of Acapulco. She runs a bookstore. She has a son, Luca, the love of her life, and a wonderful husband who is a journalist. And while there are cracks beginning to show in Acapulco because of the drug cartels, her life is, by and large, fairly comfortable. When Lydia’s husband’s tell-all profile of Javier, the jefe of the newest drug cartel that has gruesomely taken over the city, is published, none of their lives will ever be the same.

Sunbird will love it!
Revisado: 12-23-20
Anyone who vacations in Mexico, or spends the winters there, will recognize the strong work ethic, the high moral standards, and the great importance of family in the protagonist, Lydia Quixano Pérez. This story of determination and survival is well written and exceptionally well narrated. Lydia and her son escaped the cartel following closely to the highways we drive from the USA to Mazatlan every winter. This incredible story gave me a fresh insight to the major gash in the Mexican culture: the impact of drug trafficking on Mexican Nationals.

Stacatto
Revisado: 04-23-20
TO ME, the reader had such an annoying, stacatto style of reading, I only listened to two chapters. This was very disappointing because the story line had attracted me.

Honest & Deliciously Sensual
Revisado: 04-12-20
Feelings every adult can identify with are explained in a masterfully intimate, yet somehow proper way. A man and a woman each experience an unplanned and magical, but temporary escape from reality. This is a lesson in trusting when you don't understand, and giving of yourself when there are no guarantees. The narration of this compelling story is perfectly delightful.
