I am not sure the goal of this book

My biggest take away from this book is it hopefully sets up the rest of series because very little happened from the 1st chapter to the last.

Average military sifi and over the top love story

My title says it all, if you want pointless love stories that do nothing to advance the story and take up hours of these books then they are for you.
The 1st book is a borderline line Star Wars rip off but what really sucks is the story or at least the idea of the story had great potential but has the wrong focus. The worst part is the love stories were forced and little would change about the overall story if they were eliminated.

Enjoyed the story but...

Overall I enjoyed the story and it had no issue diving into adult subject matter but for some reason refused to use curse words but substituted other words in the place of the curse words which became extremely annoying.

The main character is an idiot

This is just not for this book but the 1st three, the main character continually does incredibly dumb things that should get not only himself killed but his entire family multiple times only to be saved by stupid luck and over-the-top missions. The vast amount of dumb things the characters do make it hard to care about and root for them.
