Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

Historia
Bill Bryson was struck one day by the thought that we devote more time to studying the battles and wars of history than to considering what history really consists of: centuries of people quietly going about their daily business. This inspired him to start a journey around his own house, an old rectory in Norfolk, considering how the ordinary things in life came to be.

I have read a few reviews of other Bill Bryson books where they say that they don't like the fact that he isn't narrating. However, I disagree. I am sorry Mr. Bryson if you're reading this as I love your work but I can't handle the narration due to the accent. Don't get me wrong, you'll love the book anyway but I'd have preferred another narrator. This book is great and well worth a credit so buy it.

Decent book and narration
Revisado: 08-04-16
I was getting ready to return this title within the first 10 to 15 of listening mainly due to the over-eager narration by Will Wheaton. However, I gave it a second chance a couple of days later and actually found myself liking the book and Will Wheaton's performance. There were a couple of points in the book that the narrator got over excited again but I think he's going to be a worthy narrator with a few more books under his belt. Mr Wheaton, you're going to be a great narrator in a book or two so kudos is due. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it once you get past the first 20 minutes and the bias of Sheldon Cooper!

I would have given this book more stars but the ending was a bit poor considering the amount of time dedicated to the antagonist throughout the story. That was a let down. Excellent narrator by the way.

Michael Page is always a great narrator and the book is worth a listen. I liked this book more than the first in the series as the plot is certainly more believable. Heading off to look for book 3 if Mr Page is the narrator.

Charley sees dead people. That's right, she sees dead people. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

I got to the 1.5 hour mark without smashing my phone to stop the torment on my ears. I've no idea how I managed that but it seems like the only positive thing this audio book has going for it ; you'll learn to cope with the most terrible attempt at a plot or storyline and one of the worst narrators I've had the displeasure of listening to for the 1.5 hours of my life that I can never get back. seriously bad narrator
Revisado: 05-20-12
Would you try another book from Vince Flynn and/or Ken Kilban?
This is my third book in the Mich Rapp series and I felt it my duty to write a review based on this audio-book. I started the series from the beginning and disagree with other comments about the narrators of book 1 and 2. I enjoyed them. It may be because I haven't experienced Guidall yet. So, after book 1 and 2, which I enjoyed, I thought that the comments about the narrators to be exaggerated. They were fine.
However, this narrator is a nightmare!
Seriously, this guy is terrible! I only toiled my way through this audiobook because I want to follow the series. This narrator should be shot. I have never had a narrator bother me as much as this one. He can't be a native speaker based on his pronunciation. This narrator is so bad that I wonder if Audible paid him. If they did, they should ask for a refund. What a terrible performance!
What do you think your next listen will be?
Book 4 in the series
What didn’t you like about Ken Kilban’s performance?
He has to be the worst narrator I have ever heard read an audio-book. The fact that Kilban can't pronounce simple words is seriously frustrating. Furthermore, he does not seem to understand the characters he is suposed to portray. He turned Mich into a whiney weiner and made the whole audio-book into a chore. What a terrible performance.
What character would you cut from Separation of Power?
The narrator! He was terrible.
Any additional comments?
Ken Kilban was the worst narrator ever.
