Very long book

This book did not have enough plot movement for the length of it. It could have had 20hrs cut from it and I would have gotten as much out of it. Will I buy the next in the series? Of course. If you are hooked on the series you have to read it but don't expect very much action.

Big fan of the series

If you hadn't started this series this may be a good place to start. it is a prequel that filled in a few blanks. It takes place a very short time before the first book in the series. It is, also, a very good book on it's own. The action is great but I really enjoy being in the head of people who are elite at what they do. I could not reccomend this series more.

Honor is back

I was worried that I would be treated to another book where most of it is centered on talking about what was going to happen at the very end. That was before I hit around the 3 hour mark. The other 27 hours was a rollercoaster ride where I found it increasingly difficult to hit the pause button. If you like Honor you will love this from that 3 hour mark until Audible tells you they hope you enjoyed it.

A great new series

I had no knowledge of the previous series but enjoyed this book. I actually received a free code in my email for this audio book but I intend to add the series connected to this into my wish list. Aside from a lot of present day slang, this book seemed to really have the feel of a different universe. I was satisfied with the ending but it did leave me wanting the next in the series.

So much detail makes you feel like you are there. this author is so talented at painting a picture. the action is great but the story is even better.

I would love to give a copy of this book to every Christian I know. if you have any issue in your life(if you say you don't you should probably check what the Bible says about telling the truth) this book is for you.

Wow! What a good series

Slow start but the last 5 hrs were intense. Wrapped up some things that was satisfying but left me ready for the next one.

Hallmark

No other explanation except this is a Hallmark Movie for men. I enjoyed it from the first paragraph until the last and this is completely unlike any book I have ever read.

Disney Star Wars

This was a good story and even close to Star Wars caliber. But... why so many Earth phrases. It seemed like every chapter was a new phrase that would never be uttered in a Galaxy far far away. The voice performance was good but the special effect sounds were a distraction and sometimes annoying.

I would recommend this book to anyone. Full disclosure, I am an Extended Universe reader and loved those stories. With just a few tweaks this book could be as good as those. It is a little preachy unless you are a complete pacifist at all costs kind of person but Disney doesn't exactly have a Right Wing reputation. The story answered questions in an intelligent way I always had about Star Wars and really got me stoked for Rogue One. I guess that was what it was supposed to do to begin with.

If you are a die hard EU fan get this anyway. It's the only window we still have into the Universe we all grew up loving.
