Historia
First came the news that a flying saucer had landed in Iowa. Then came the announcement that the whole thing was a hoax. End of story. Case closed. Except that two agents of the most secret intelligence agency in the US government were on the scene and disappeared without reporting in. And four more agents who were sent in also disappeared. So the head of the agency and his two top agents went in and managed to get out with their discovery

It is worth the listen and time.
Revisado: 09-02-22
If you are woke then this is not the story for you. It was written back when men were men and women were women. Everyone in this book at one time or another is "hag ridden". That reminds me of what is happening today. We have an overbearing left in this country that is try to shame everyone into believing what they believe and shunning them if they don't. This story about an alien race coming in and taking over people like a parasite is a kin to the way we as conservatives have to suppress our beliefs in today's America. An outside influence tries to override our own will and make us do or say things we would not normally do or say just to get by or fit in or keep a job or whatever. To keep from being ostracized.
It is a classic story from Robert A. Heinlein up there with A Stranger in a Strange Land and Starship Troopers.
It was well performed - although the female characters always seem to be in the same mood no matter what was happening.
It is worth the listen and time....just put your wokeness on the shelf and enjoy the story for what it it.

Historia
For years, Starfleet Intelligence agents have carried out undercover assignments deep within the Klingon Empire. Surgically altered and rigorously trained in Klingon culture, they operate in plain sight and without any direct support, while collecting information and infiltrating the highest levels of imperial power. Their actions have given Starfleet valuable insight into the inner workings of Klingon government and its relentless military apparatus. After three of Starfleet’s longest serving agents fear exposure, they initiate emergency extraction procedures.

Good wrap up!
Revisado: 07-25-22
This was a good wrap up to a good story. Introducing new species to the existing Trek timeline is alway tricky. This story handled it with ease. It wove a new story into the TOS characters and pre TOS (Number One and Robert April) in a way that was interesting and entertaining to listen to.

UNA!
Revisado: 06-21-22
This is really good story that ties Number One (Una) in with Spock and Kirk. It expands on her after she left the Enterprise. It also fleshes out her early career and how she got to be who she is. We got to see her interact with Kirk and Spock. We got to know more about Robert April as well. I really like the story...like a good classic Trek saga and I can't wait for Book 2!

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Classic and relevant
Revisado: 06-09-22
This is a classic story of oppression from the left and socialist. It is very relevant to what is happening in America today. George Orwell sent out a warning to the future. It is one I hope we listen to, learn, understand and heed. We can never allow a tyrannical government or ideology to take away our freedoms.
I really enjoyed Simon Preeble's performance and would listen to another narration of his again.
