I was completely bored by this novel. It was preachy and Dennis Quaid was absolutely awful as a narrator. Mr President you should let your wife Hilary write political thrillers. She did a much better job.

I could have listened to the book forever

Wonderful story and narration. I felt like I was smack dab next to Jake/George the whole time. The time period was one that I grew up in, and I had such a wonderful nostalgic ache throughout the book. I downloaded Under the Dome.

Halfway through and can't bear anymore

Ditto to all of the reviews about the narrator...I mean I cringe everytime I hear Dany's voice. And the story in many parts of the book are downright boring. I mean who cares about half of the characters? When I saw that the book was 49 hours long, I thought "cool this is going to be a fun journey." I am halfway through and debating on whether to finish.

Very Disappointing

I downloaded this book because of the favorable reviews it received. I am a very patient reader understanding that sometimes a book can start out slow and eventually grab you for the ride to the end. However this book is a complete snooze. I listen to my audio books when I commute by car...and I am terrified to continue to listen to this book when I drive because I find myself falling asleep.
