Facebook/Meta even more horrible than expected

I had assumed that facebook was filled with the same careerist sociopaths at the top of every other company in corporate America, but I didn’t realize the degree of moral bankruptcy. I will never understand these people. The world would be better without them. I exercise my small power by not engaging with their products. If anyone has ideas for audiobook listening without supporting bezos (who I assume is just as terrible a person as zuckerberg) let me know.

Not sure what to make of this book. The first part is a sharp and interesting look at Japanese work culture and gender relations. The second part kind of drifts into a saccharine feel good story reminiscent of the Goonies where a group of misfits crowning achievement is cooking a turkey without getting food poisoning.
