Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

Revisado: 01-11-25
The Stormlight Archive started out as one of the greatest book series in fiction. There were so many amazing lessons and fantastic character development. For me though, the story has gotten too big for its own good. There’s so little focus on the characters that apathy sets in and I was left with husks of people witnessing an expanding Cosmere. Everything this book has to offer will be available on the copper mind anyway. I was left not caring about the story because the immersion has dissipated. Instead I noticed the ideas of Sanderson’s team whispering in his ear. “More cooks brings more confusion”.

Historia
In The End Is Always Near, Dan Carlin looks at questions and historical events that force us to consider what sounds like fantasy; that we might suffer the same fate that all previous eras did. Will our world ever become a ruin for future archaeologists to dig up and explore? The questions themselves are both philosophical and like something out of The Twilight Zone.

Historia
The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.

James Islington can do no wrong
Revisado: 02-12-24
The Licanius Trilogy was one of the best trilogies I’d ever read. So, when I heard Islington was going to write a new series with a Roman twist, I knew I had to give it a try. This one did not disappoint. It was apparent in Licanius that it was his first series- where some details in the writing were a little rough. However, all of those minute details were rounded out and brought out the masterpiece that is The Will of the Many. Of course, he doesn’t shy away from the gore but every single detail in the book was important and by the end of the book it was apparent why they were all added. I’m looking forward to the next one, and it can’t come soon enough.

Historia
The Second Civil War has come to an end in Idaho. The Feds have taken the fight to other fronts, and Danny and his friends are free of US dominance. But that freedom comes with considerable costs, from Danny's disturbing flashbacks to the war, to the Brotherhood of the White Eagle, whose "security" for Freedom Lake looks more like outright thuggery. After Danny makes a shocking discovery about the Brotherhood's final aims, he and his friends lead a group of townspeople on a dangerous journey across a ravaged Idaho.

Great end to a great trilogy.

More than just an audiobook. This was a fully immersive experience. The voice acting was great and the story was rounded off in an unexpected way, but still finished at a great spot in the timeline.
