Historia
Lik-Rifa, the dragon god of legend, has been freed from her eternal prison. Now she plots a new age of blood and conquest. As Orka continues the hunt for her missing son, the Bloodsworn sweep south in a desperate race to save one of their own - and Varg takes the first steps on the path of vengeance. Elvar has sworn to fulfil her blood oath and rescue a prisoner from the clutches of Lik-Rifa and her dragonborn followers, but first she must persuade the Battle-Grim to follow her. Yet even the might of the Bloodsworn and Battle-Grim cannot stand alone against a dragon god.

Savage enough to get the blood pumping
Revisado: 01-25-24
Orka. She is determined to get her son back.
Vaug. He is determined to find his sister.
Skulk. What an evil entity.
Ina. The large oaf who loves kids.
Sometimes I get mixed up where people are at because it is hard to remember everything from the first book. But it is a great story. I look forward to my drive to and from work so that I can listen to my book uninterrupted.

Historia
After the old gods warred and drove themselves to extinction, the cataclysm of their fall shattered the land of Vigrio. Now, power-hungry jarls carve out petty kingdoms, and monsters stalk the shadow-haunted woods and mountains. A world where the bones of the dead gods still hold great power, promising fame, and fortune for those brave - or desperate - enough to seek them out. As whispers of war echo over the plains and across the fjords, fate follows the footsteps of three people. All three will shape the fate of the world, as it once more teeters on the edge of chaos.

I liked the length of the story and the way the storytelling sucked me in.

Historia
When the once-mighty city of Rome was sacked by barbarians in 410 and lay in ruins, it signaled the end of an era—and the beginning of a thousand years of profound transformation. In a gripping narrative bursting with big names—from St Augustine and Attila the Hun to the Prophet Muhammad and Eleanor of Aquitaine—Dan Jones charges through the history of the Middle Ages. Powers and Thrones takes listeners on a journey through an emerging Europe, the great capitals of late Antiquity, as well as the influential cities of the Islamic West.

History telling is hard to get people interested. This guy did a great job. And what a bang for your buck! Miles and miles and miles with this one book!

Historia
Nearly 20 years before Jamestown was settled, the English established one of the earliest colonies in North America around the Chesapeake Bay region, until the colony had over 100 inhabitants. Like other early settlements, Roanoke struggled to survive in its infancy, to the extent that the colony's leader, John White, sailed back to England in 1587 in an effort to bring more supplies and help. However, the attempts to bring back supplies were thwarted by the Spanish in the midst of the Anglo-Spanish War going on at the time.

Voice sounded AI. High pitch girl voice. Basic information. Super short. I expected a book for one credit. Not a summary.

Far too descriptive.
Revisado: 06-04-21
Every single little thing is quantified by at LEAST two or more descriptors. “Her delicate, snowy white, fingers, perfect for playing soft melancholy music on an old worn and dusty piano….” It got to the point that I wanted to pull over and shoot my truck.
