A real page turner!!

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes clean, edge of your seat novels with a little romance thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed it immensely!! The narrator did a great job, especially with the bad guy.

Heart touching story!
Revisado: 04-07-23
This story centered around a young Amish girl that had a baby out of wedlock, only to have it taken away from her and adopted out by her family without her knowledge or consent. At the same time, the family of the father of the baby moves to a different area so she has no way to contact him. When they eventually re-connect, they risk everything to try to find the child that was given away, in order to make sure she is happy. It is a beautiful story that is sure to tug at your heartstrings.

Definitely makes you think!!
Revisado: 04-07-23
This man had it all, and yet it was never enough. This audiobook shows that greed and the desire for fame can take you to places you could've never imagined yourself going. We always think if we just had this or if we could just experience that, we would be content. But unfortunately, that's the seldom the case, as this cautionary tale reminds us.

Historia
Seasons of Hope will send you on a journey to Snowflake Falls, the quaintest little town in all of Pinecrest County. Once you arrive, just grab a cup of tea at the local bakery and stay awhile. It won't take long until you feel right at home. There are many interesting characters in this small town of 998 imperfect souls, many of whom the listener will come to know and love, but it's the special bond between Sigrid Traugott and Hogan Engle that will capture your heart as their story of friendship, separation, heartache, and love unfold throughout the many seasons of their lives.

Heartwarming!
Revisado: 01-01-20
I enjoyed listening to this story of life in Snowflake Falls, it sounded like an ideal place to live and raise a family. Although the characters had their share of tragedy and heartache, it was wonderful to see how the entire town would rally around them to help them through it. This would be a wonderful story for the entire family to enjoy together. The narrator, though not my favorite, did a solid job.

Well worth the listen!!
Revisado: 03-26-19
This is my first experience with this author but it did not disappoint. The characters were well rounded and with the exception of the "bad guy" were lovable. Overall, it was a very sweet story but there was some plot twists thrown in to keep you listening when you should've been going to bed. The thing that I appreciate the most was that it was a "clean" book that you could listen to without feeling like you needed to shower afterward. Thank you Mr. Stewart for giving us something we could listen to and enjoy without sacrificing our values!!

Loved it......mostly!!

Any additional comments?
This is probably the hardest review I've written so far. I'm really torn by this story, on one hand I absolutely loved it, but at the same time I had a difficult time with one aspect of the story. Maybe I'm being to hard but I have a difficult time believing that God would give someone the ability to become invisible when needed. I know He COULD do it if He wished, but I'm just not sure He WOULD do it. This was a distraction for me, and as I said before, maybe I'm being too hard, but it did bother me. Other than that detail, the story was wonderful, it kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The main character was absolutely a delight! "This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."

Enjoyable Story
Revisado: 03-21-17
What made the experience of listening to Gift from the Storm the most enjoyable?
Even though the story had a modern day setting, it still had a very charming old fashioned feel to it. I felt like I was listening to the Waltons or Little House on the Prairie when life was simpler and families closer than at present day.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Amy, you couldn't help but sympathize with her struggle to put together the puzzle of who she really was.
Any additional comments?
Overall the story had a very satisfying ending and was worth listening to. "This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom dot com."

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book! The author did a beautiful job describing the characters, I not only could picture them in my mind but I also came to love them and care about what happened to each of them, I was actually quite sad that it came to an end. This story was a wonderful illustration of the love of our Lord who continues to care about us and reach out to us even when we're so bitter and hateful against him. It goes to show that only God can heal a wounded heart and restore our ability to love again. This is the first book I've listened to by this author and I was NOT disappointed!! The story-line was very believable and covered territory I hadn't previously thought of in a disaster scenario. Kevin Pierce was fanastic as usual, I think when eventually we really are hit by one of these apocalyptic events I'll be listening for the voice of Kevin Pierce to begin explaining what's happening to us, lol!! I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!!

Mass murder doesn't happen in Matt Foley's town. It doesn't happen to his friends. Someone is going to pay. Disturbing crime scenes are nothing new to the Twin Falls Police Chief. But this one is different. The victims are friends. In their Tudor mansion just inside the city limits, a family is dead: husband, wife, two kids, and the family cook. The killer made one mistake. He left a survivor. The husband is one of the big three in the microchip industry. The family lived a quiet modest life. It doesn't make sense. Until....

Second Book Was Not A Disappointment!!
Revisado: 08-30-16
Any additional comments?
Too many times I listen to the first book in a series and sit on pins & needles anxiously awaiting the next installment only to find myself completely disappointed. It was not the case with this book, if anything it was even better! Of course that could be because I became emotionally attached to the main characters in the first book, so with the second book they had me at hello!! I hope the author is reading this because I'm desperately hoping for book #3. The narration was perfect with just the right amount of intrigue and each character well defined. The icing on the cake was no bad language or sexual content to distract from the storyline, just a nice clean murder mystery. Well Done!!!
