Historia
I use people. Not in a malicious way, but in the way an addict abuses their substance of choice. People are my vice - men specifically. I crave the emotional high they give me, with a unique and reckless disregard for my own well-being - eagerly floating into an unsustainable euphoria, knowing full well that after every high comes an equal, if not more powerful, plummet into a devastating abyss. But like every junkie, I crawl willingly back into the arms of my demons.

Not an ending I expected
Revisado: 10-28-21
So I think most people already commented about the open ending, the ending leaves it up to you to decide the last person she chose, and even though I didn't like it, I understand. The narrator made it a little hard in the beginning to listen to the book as her breathing got the better of me, but when I start off with a book I always try and finish it. I wasn't able to o relate to the character that much but I could relate to the pain, and I had a good cry at the ending. Not the best book I have listened to, but not going that bad either

Historia
Dragon hatchling Ember Hill was never prepared to find love at all - dragons do not suffer human emotions - let alone with a human, and a former dragonslayer at that. With Garret, an ex-soldier of St. George, dying at her feet after sacrificing his freedom and his life to expose the deepest of betrayals, Ember knows only that nothing she was taught by the dragon organization Talon is true. About humans, about rogue dragons, about herself and what she's capable of doing and feeling.

Good story
Revisado: 10-21-21
Enjoying the story and the plots that was written, but
The one thing that is getting a bit much is that even with the knowledge both of the male characters have they keep letting a 16 year old lead them by the nose. Everything seems to revolve around the hatchling Ember and she keeps making the dumbest mistakes. Above it all, the love conflict scenario keeps going on and on and on even after she made a decision to love the human. Why then not rather move on with all the characters. Anyway, like I have said before maybe it is just because it is something I don't normally read / listen, so I am still hanging in there, determined to finish the saga

Historia
When forced to choose between safety with the dragon organization Talon and being hunted forever as an outcast, Ember Hill chose to stand with Riley and his band of rogue dragons rather than become an assassin for Talon. She's lost any contact with her twin brother, Dante, a Talon devotee, as well as Garret, the former-enemy soldier who challenged her beliefs about her human side.

Hmm, Okay now
Revisado: 10-20-21
I've now come to the 3rd book. Not reading it, but listening. I am enjoying the way the narrators are reading it, but now I have come to a point where the books has become a bit more of a teenage romance kind of book. I don't really understand the 2 male attractions to the female character, and it irritates me that they kind of give it all to her, but she doesn't even understand her own feelings toward any one of them. Also the fact that they keep reminding us, or keep reminding themselves by saying "I'm a dragon" is getting the better of me.

Historia
Ember Hill left the dragon organization Talon to take her chances with rebel dragon Cobalt and his crew of rogues. But Ember can't forget the sacrifice made for her by the human boy who could have killed her - Garret Xavier Sebastian, a soldier of the dragon-slaying Order of St. George, the boy who saved her from a Talon assassin, knowing that by doing so he'd signed his own death warrant.

Detailed description and good plot
Revisado: 10-20-21
I found myself a bit bored from time to time with the speed in which the story progressed as the characters spent a lot of time explaining their thoughts and what they are thinking. The read (listening) was still worth the time it took. I enjoyed the plot, it is not the general genre I would go for, but I did enjoy the book.

Strong Narration and good story line
Revisado: 10-20-21
I came across this saga as I was searching under a specific Narrator, and initially I thought that I wouldn't be able to listen to it, but was pleasantly surprised with the book. It started off slow for me and honestly the main character irritated me at times, but as I kept going I started to enjoy the story line and would definitely continue with the rest of these books.

Instead, each revelation breaks me down until nothing is left but my fight and my rage. As I struggle to survive, only one question remains. How far will I go to save those I love and burn the Acquisition to the ground?

Interesting read
Revisado: 03-19-18
What can I say.
I really liked the books after all. Yes it is dark, yes it has some violence and yes some people might find it disturbing, but after all most of the comments / Reviews did warn for that. It was a new take on some sort of “debt” that had to be repaid. The read is not bad at all, and most people the like the dark bits of reading would enjoy this read, and if you enjoyed the books Indebted you might also like these, the only bit I was really looking forward to was to see how everything tied back to the original of it all, also I wanted more around the last decision that was made and some more writing around the events that took place, the reasoning etc. I think that up to this point I still have a number of loose ends and I figure with the epilogue that that all will be left for the imagination. I found that there are some of the details that were not really dealt with that would have helped me relate more to the characters, and the ending was a bit rushed after such a nice build-up. I hoped for so much more and got a very short version of how things fell apart. The ending was not what I expected, but it also felt really easy after all that happened.
