Historia
Roy Court and his crew are taking the trip of a lifetime—several lifetimes in fact—duplicated and dispatched across the galaxies searching for Earthlike planets. Many possibilities for the future. Yet for Roy, no matter how many of him there are, there’s still just one painful, unchangeable past. In what world can a broken relationship be reborn? The universe is so vast, there’s always room for hope.

Great concluding minutes bring a slightly discontinuous story into focus. Delightful!

Cool concept but not a fan
Revisado: 12-02-23
Cool concept but not a fan.. I did not fully understand the scientific part of the sci-fi story since it probably wasn't the focus of the story, but the more personal aspect, but I didn't vibe with it in general

Historia
Equipped with the entirety of human knowledge, a sentient ship is launched on a last-ditch journey to find a new home for civilization. Trillions of miles. Tens of thousands of years. In the space between, the AI has plenty of time to think about life, the vastness of the universe, everything it was meant to do, and—with a perspective created but not limited by humans—what it should do.

Great short story

Great short story! I wish performance was more emotionless, but the story was pretty cool. What a cool perspective on AI!

The Goblin delivers since the debut book!
Revisado: 04-29-21
Overall pretty nice especially for a debut, but it was too simplistic and short. I mean it's a novella and I love novellas, but this felt like an introduction to the world/setting and not even to the characters or magic systems. For example my favorite fantasy novella is Shadows for Silence (part of Cosmere) - it's 89 pages, so similar length - it also introduces to the world/setting (the fact that it's part of the Cosmere doesn't help the story at all, so stand-alone) but it also has its own self-contained meaningful story that explodes by the end. I wasn't interested in the simplistic story here, but it was well-written for a debut nevertheless.
