Weak link

Of the five books so far in the series this is the weakest so far. Whether it's because Martin was feeling pressure to publish something or a desire to please his fans it's hard to say. He did apologize for it in book 5. That been said I enjoyed some of the new characters he introduced. They brought new insight to ideas and perspective to belief of old characters. There were a few chapters that were longer then necessary but if you have made it to a Feast for Crows then you have come to expect it. I read the book then before this review listened to it. I do greatly enjoy the series and am waiting, very patiently, for the 6th book

To many accents

I love the story so far. What is distracting is the accents. The narrator is doing a stellar attempt to do so many but they are starting to blend. Plus when the intense parts come up it gets really annoying. I do recommend this story though.

Slow start

Was a marvellous story but took to long to get me hooked. Usually if I don't have interest by the first 5-10 chapters I drop a book. Only because it was audio did I make it to chapter 16, were I finally gained my attention. It was worth the wait

I would not try another of their books.

This was my first of these kind of short stories. I found the stories to be poor at best. The choice of narrators could've been better. Of the stories I liked the Snow Queen one best.

Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Keeane. I do chalk some of his behavior as being hindered from being binded. For some one who is suppose to run hot blood he seemed collected. But for this flaw he seemed much better then Seth
My wife liked DeVina.

I listened to this book with my wife whenever we were driving. I missed parts but she loved it

I would recommend this book to most of my friends who enjoy descriptive stories.
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed the Skin Trade best of all the short stories. The wild card stories were interesting and made me curious about the collections.
