Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A Journey through the Marshes
Revisado: 08-09-19
A wonderful story that made me laugh, shake my fist in anger, and cry. The prose was beautiful and painted the picture of a young and misunderstood girl that became a fulfilled and conflicted woman. I normally am attracted to more action or science fiction when I read or listen to books for enjoyment but this captured me in ways a book/story has not done for a while. The narration was also masterful capturing the essence of each character without being overly dramatic. Get this book and enjoy as you sip your drink of choice.

Always a good read
Revisado: 11-27-18
I have enjoyed all of Brian Sanderson’s books and this is no exception. Characters are well developed and the plot is developed well and at an entertaining pace. I’ll leave it for others to dissect the particulars of the plot and will only say that I was never bored and only occasionally find myself saying “what about this” or that something was implausible.
Sit back, put on your earphones, and enjoy a great book whether you’re reading or listening to it.

A Great Ride
Revisado: 02-24-18
I’ll leave it to others to critique the story. For me I need a story that allows me to disengage from time to time. This is a series that allows me to do that because I find myself caring for the characters, even yelling at them for their bravery, cowardice, or stupidity. It’s suspenseful and twists you don’t see coming that kept me engaged. A great story and performance so five stars.

Satisfying and Entertaining
Revisado: 02-19-18
I’m not looking for literary genius in books such as these and so was not disappointed. I was, however, thoroughly entertained and cared for many characters such as Darrow and Mustang and hated others such as Tactus and the Jackel. Some parts are a bit drawn out when Darrow philosophized about his ultimate goal or some of the romance scenes. But, the overall story and narrator performance make that so it’s easy to overlook it when assessing the overall quality of this (audio)book.

History and Perspective Brought to Life
Revisado: 02-07-18
The Great War was an event like none other affecting people for generations. This is a story of a young boy who gets caught up in the winds of history and falls and fails and ultimately is able to win through closure.
The performance is moving and while based on historical events the story moves along able to keep me very engaged. I found myself laughing, anxious, and crying with our protagonist.
A very enjoyable and moving story told in a way that you don’t get sidetracked by the voice of the storyteller. Excellent and would definitely recommend.

Disturbing yet engaging
Revisado: 10-28-15
This was one of the more disturbing books I've read or listened to in a long time. It took me for a ride that I wanted to get off but couldn't stand the thought of not knowing what happened. I would recommend this as a great "listen on the way to/from work" book though be prepared to be late for a meeting because you just have to finish that chapter as you sit in the parking lot.
