Historia
Rich socialite, inveterate flirt, and walking disaster Tennalhin Halkana can read minds. Tennal, like all neuromodified “readers,” is a security threat on his own. But when controlled, readers are a rare asset. Not only can they read minds, but they can navigate chaotic space, the maelstroms surrounding the gateway to the wider universe. Conscripted into the military under dubious circumstances, Tennal is placed into the care of Lieutenant Surit Yeni, a duty-bound soldier, principled leader, and the son of a notorious traitor general. Whereas Tennal can read minds, Surit can influence them.

Slowest burn ever?
Revisado: 02-18-23
Is this possibly the slowest burn ever for a book? Maybe. But Great Lights, was it good.
Ocean’s Echo is deeply passionate and full of action. The characters are fleshed out in a thoughtful and satisfying way to bring them to live beyond the imagination.
What a ride!
I loved the (almost) opposites attract aspect of a brilliant, military career driven character with an eidetic memory for protocol being synched with a playboy, fuckup that never needed to apologize for his rash choices. They need each other to challenge and better themselves.

More than you’d ever want from a book.
Revisado: 02-07-23
The author puts us through our paces and keeps us on our toes. But you get exactly what you want in the end.
Good drama, confused love, bad communication, and well-timed humor make this feel real.

Historia
Edward Dinnissen leads a charmed life. He’s the Crown Prince of Canada, gets the royal treatment at his exclusive private school, and resides in a ritzy mansion. He thrives off being the perfect prince as he prepares for the Investiture Ceremony on his 18th birthday, the final step in his role as heir—and Canada’s future king. But this closeted Crown Prince has just one tiny problem: He’s unsure how to tell his parents, his beloved country, and his adoring fans that he’s gay.

Truly Delightful!
Revisado: 01-22-23
A delightful tale of royal mischief, renewed kinship, and dessert inspiration.
I’m glad to have had a lovely mix of queer characters to the mix in A Tale of Two Princes. All the characters are lovable. But Pax is, by far, a truly inspired and needed character for representation. I’m happy to have had the author do them Justice above anything else in the book. I could have lived without the happily ever after so long as our sweet as a sticky bun, Pax, got the story they deserved.
The performances were good and complimented the story well. It seems like it would be hard to coordinate two performers. I was glad the story had a minimum amount of characters for both narrators to perform.
Bravo!
I raise my saved vanilla cake as a toast to an encore to this book!
