Historia
Mary is a quiet middle-aged woman doing her best to blend into the background. Unremarkable. Invisible. Unknown even to herself. But lately, things have been changing inside Mary. Along with the hot flashes and body aches, she can’t look in a mirror without passing out, and the voices in her head have been urging her to do unspeakable things. Fired from her job in New York, she moves back to her hometown hoping to reconnect with her past and inner self. What she finds instead are visions of terrifying mutilated specters that come with increasing regularity.

It’s better than everything you’ve heard! This story does such a good job capturing voice and madness. Read it!

Historia
When Margaret and her husband Hal bought the large Victorian house on Hawthorn Street—for sale at a surprisingly reasonable price—they couldn’t believe they finally had a home of their own. Then they discovered the hauntings. Every September, the walls drip blood. The ghosts of former inhabitants appear, and all of them are terrified of something that lurks in the basement. Most people would flee. Margaret is not most people. Margaret is staying.

Fun, storyline, but the audio mixing and narrator were pretty horrible
Revisado: 01-02-24
As amentioned, this was a fun story. I appreciated all of the characters and the stories connected to them and had a pretty solid through line. That said, the sound mixing and narrator made this nearly unlistenable. The main characters internal dialogue seemed very low energy and uninterested throughout the entire book, and the narrator took this to heart! My recommendation if you are going to listen to this book, is to listen at atleast 1.5 speed to make it sound like a normal person talking. There are only 2 emotions in this book, bored and apathetic or loud expletives, nothing in between. Additionally, the two main characters in the book are at two obscenely, different volumes, so, when they are in conversation, it is impossible to control the volume. My first recommendation, is to read this book. If you do want to listen to it, I recommend trying to find it at a library, it is not worth a credit.

Great continuation of the story

True to the previous stories this leg was action packed and emotionally involved ... I don't think it's the last one either....
