Cheesy story, horrible narrator.

This was so awkwardly narrated and so badly written that I didn't even make it through the whole thing. Terrible. Really. Not even good historical fiction. It uses long-debunked theories about King Tut to build the story.

A Dark and Unpleasant Take On Neverland

Total
2 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 02-02-10

While some of the story elements were charming or interesting, the whole story was disappointing. It was disjointed and strange, but not in a fun way. The author clearly does not like or understand children. It was like "Peter Pan" meets "Lord of the Flies". Peter Pan is an unpleasant bully here, and too much real life (war, environmental poison) intrude on Neverland. Not for children, but not for adults either, this story was pretty unsatisfying. Well read by Tim Curry though.
