Historia
For a dozen years, villagers along the ancient Da River in Vietnam have feared a nightmarish creature who hunts and consumes human flesh. Only in whispers do they mention its name, The White Ghost. To the United States military, this creature has a different name - Marine Lieutenant Trevor Brett, the chemically engineered experiment gone wrong that they will do anything to hide. Sole survivor of his platoon, Brett has stalked the jungle for prey. But the men who made him into a monster are searching for him, and when they find him, the line between hunter and hunted will be blurred.

Best book in the series.
Revisado: 10-19-19
I thought with it starting out this way it would just continue to build but I think the series has a lot of filler in it.
Don't get me wrong the story line and the whole premise of the series is orginal. I can see where the author took some ideas from other fiction books and molded it to keep the feel of a good post apocalypse story.
Now for the bad I feel like the series just gets bleaker and bleaker as it goes and to this point has no conclusion 10-18-19. So it could still finish well. I don't listen/read a book to become frustrated or depressed by what's going on in the book. This series did just that for me. I feel like they're was little to no hope and the author kept killing off the characters you really start to like. At least 10-15 character were killed off. I won't spoil the book but they don't kill them all off.
I listened to the whole story hoping it would get better but it doesn't.
I posted my honest opinion of the book on post about the book series on FB and the author deleted my post and made it so I couldn't comment. (I know he did because he commented on it then it disappeared). Maybe it wasn't my place to do that but it became obvious he doesn't like people being honest about his series.

Historia
Many people, even Christians, deny the devil's power. John Ramirez doesn't have that luxury - he experienced the prince of darkness up close and personal. In the impoverished streets of the South Bronx, John Ramirez found "acceptance" from a family of witches and warlocks. These practitioners of dark arts trained him to be a high-ranking satanic priest - a story told in his first book, Out of the Devil's Cauldron. However, everything changed when he met the living Christ.

Not what I was expecting very unimpressed.

Don't waste your money on this heretic.
Gives more credit to the devil then any so called Christian should.
The whole book left me unsettled.
Don't waste your money or time.
Do your research on the author.
Read your Bible that's your best defense from the devil.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

not my kind of book
Revisado: 02-09-16
This book was recommended to me be several people. The narrator drives me insane and I have no clue what is happening in the story. I listen to about thirty minutes all the while hoping it would get better.

A little over the top at times.
Revisado: 07-27-15
The narrator was ok at time he could get annoying the over all story was ok. I hated how the story would would progress and at times wouldn't fill in the blanks so you had to use your imagination which defeats the purpose of listening to book I want to be entertained I don't want to figure out what the author is up to. Plain and simple he doesn't compare to Louis L'Amour

Historia
General Stonewall Jackson was like no one anyone had ever seen. In April of 1862 he was merely another Confederate general with only a single battle credential in an army fighting in what seemed to be a losing cause. By middle June he had engineered perhaps the greatest military campaign in American history and was one of the most famous men in the Western World. He had given the Confederate cause what it had recently lacked: hope.

I,m related to Jackson and named after him. As a result this book has great meaning to me and makes me want to know more about this great man. Putting that aside you will struggle to find a better listen than this book. Great narrator and all around great story with infinite detail.
