Historia
In the summer of 1994, psychologist Daniel Hill buys a rustic farmhouse nestled in the rolling hills of West Virginia. Along with his wife and teenage daughter, the family uproots their lives in Ohio and moves south. They are initially seduced by the natural beauty of the country setting. That soon changes when they discover a hidden room in the basement with a well, boarded shut and adorned with crucifixes. Local legends about the previous owner being an exorcist come to light, but by then, all Hell has broken loose.

Historia
Blackwater is the saga of a small town, Perdido, Alabama, and Elinor Dammert, the stranger who arrives there under mysterious circumstances on Easter Sunday, 1919. On the surface, Elinor is gracious, charming, anxious to belong in Perdido, and eager to marry Oscar Caskey, the eldest son of Perdido's first family. But her beautiful exterior hides a shocking secret. Beneath the waters of the Perdido River, she turns into something terrifying, a creature whispered about in stories that have chilled the residents of Perdido for generations.

I can't believe when I got this title that I felt like I was settling on something. the story has supernatural undertones but just a wonderful and heartbreaking story on top. sad to know I have finished.

I love reading and am trying so hard to get in to audiobooks for my drives to work. it has been weirdly difficult to find audiobooks that keep my attention while I'm driving but this one did it. my mind starts wondering and thinking of other things while I miss 10 minutes of the book. not with him! he kept my attention and gave the stories more life
