As a big theatre fan, I love books that delve into the backstory of a show. A quick and easy listen. Honestly, a bit too quick and too easy. Comparing this to the books for Hamilton and Come From Away, there is not much substance here. I wish there were more interviews with the cast. Taylor Trensch does a fine job narrating.

I do adore this show so much so I also bought the book! The book itself is a beautiful "coffee table" book.

A Great Casual Listen

I started reading this for three reasons: 1) I love Alicia's music; 2) from the snippets of The Voice that I've watched, she really seems like a beautiful and authentic person (unlike some of the other judges); and 3) her recent guest appearance on Brené Brown's podcast, Unlocking Us.

Alicia has a very easy-going reading style. Sometimes a bit easy-going. There were times I thought, "girl, let's pick up the tempo." Not that I expected any, but there are no scandalous stories here. This is more a thoughtful, but light reflection on her life so far. I don't know much about her husband, but they seem to be a really great match for each other.

This is a great casual audiobook to listen to while working or putzing around the house.
