Historia
Scraps, a gutter child, is sitting in his hiding place in a back alley, waiting for the cold thunderstorm to pass. Suddenly, lightning strikes in front of him, and then a second time. The two lightning bolts become men — two wizards — one from the Red Order, the other from the Blue. The Red Wizard, chanting his curses, throws lightning bolts and fireballs. The Blue Wizard, singing his spells, throws lightning bolts and ice shards.

Great performer for a bad book.
Revisado: 07-01-22
the story started well, but then the mc basically became God. nothing at all was remotely a challenge or danger to him and he could wave his hand and do what would take decades and thousands of men instantly for no cost or effort. boring. save your credit.

Revisado: 01-21-21
I'll start right out to say I did not finish and returned the book. The narrator DESPERATELY needs a better female costar as while he did male voices well, his female voices are robotic and painful to listen to. Beyond that the mc is just too mary sue for me and has the women in the story fall over him for no real reason whatsoever (and I can tolerate a lot since I like the genre). Maybe it improves, but the female voices made me give up.

That ending tho...
Revisado: 01-15-20
They story was pretty decent but if you dont like unresolved/cliffhanger endings might want to wait for the next book. The narration was ok except for the female voices..... the narrator really needs a female costar to cover the ladies voices as I almost quit just from the cringe of his female narrations

whiny MC is whiny
Revisado: 10-28-19
First off the narrator did a great job. Secondly the MC is poorly written. Supposed to be a super intelligent adult, he comes across as a petulant horny teen who has the brain cell count of a rock. Further the supposedly advanced spacefaring civilization in this book makes little sense. If you like whining teens who has to comment about how hot the girls around him are (and who all want to sleep with him in spite of 0 redeeming qualities) this is the book for you.

Historia
The rules of reality have changed. All types of zombies have appeared with only one goal: Kill the living. Eric and his schoolmates must survive by adapting and growing stronger, but that's easier said than done. The undead get stronger with every passing day, and that's not even mentioning the blood moons. Even worse, the military and police seem to have disappeared.

not sure where all the positive reviews come from
Revisado: 01-29-19
Honestly not sure why this book was so highly rated. The characters felt really lacking in any sort of development, were dumber than a box of rocks most of the time, and felt completely 2 dimensional. Not to mention the author seems to make and discard characters at a whims notice. His initial team? poof gone and no real impact on the mc. His crush? forgotten about half way through. His family? interactions what interactions. His best friend? oh he disappears and when he finally bothers to check on him hes wallowing in a pit of dispair and he does nothing. And the vampire chick? poofed again. It got to the point that I was more looking forward to the book ending than anything happening in it. oh and the ending... the definition of rushed.

annoying mc
Revisado: 09-06-17
mc was very annoying throughout, trying to be all intellectual all the while being about as intelligent as a box of rocks. Also if you are going to gay bomb us please let us know in advance, i dont nesicarially mind gay characters, but i have zero interest in reading about their pursuits, some may, which is fine, but it ruined what enjoyment i was recieving and felt so hamfisted and unnatural in the manner it was introduced.

The goblin invasion is on...and a wizard's work is never done! After facing a hopeless siege, an implacable foe, and an impossible escape, you would think that Minalan the Spellmonger would be able to rest - but the armies of the undead goblin shaman Shereul (known as the Dead God to his human victims) are rolling over the Western reaches of the rustic Duchy of Alshar and is headed toward the heart of the Duchy of Castal. Thousands are fleeing for their lives as hordes of goblins pour out of Boval Vale and devastate the rugged fiefs of the Alshari Wilderlands.

Decent but fairly predictable.
Revisado: 04-03-17
Decent but fairly predictable story but the narrators did a great job and were very enjoyable. only downside to the story was the princes chapters.... it got to the point that when i heard his name at chapter start i checked how long the chapter was and skipped it if it was over 10 minutes. sad part is that i missed virtually none of the story by doing so. i guess that was a good thing because the prince almost felt cringy to me despite the narrator doing a great job.
