Historia
Mark Blake draws on his own interviews with band members as well as the group's friends, road crew, musical contemporaries, former housemates, and university colleagues to produce a riveting history of one of the biggest rock bands of all time. We follow Pink Floyd from the early psychedelic nights at UFO, to the stadium-rock and concept-album zenith of the '70s, to the acrimonious schisms of the late '80s and '90s.

Hearing how the sausage is made
Revisado: 11-26-24
I've been a PF fan since the early 80s. I actually bought this because I wanted to confirm my suspicions about Roger Water's mental health. Wow! Confirmed and then some. Roger had plenty of trauma in his life that appears to have left him with quite a bit of anxiety and insecurity. Anxiety gets worse as you get older, and there are often elements of paranoia with it as well. If you ever wonder why some people end up as bullies, just look back at his youth. I imagine he was bullied ruthlessly with no father figure. Anyway, very well researched book.

Very Enjoyable
Revisado: 01-27-24
You meet the nicest people in the world riding motorcycles. The great thing about motorcycles is that the history, the styles, the racing, the variety of bikes is vast. The common denominator is often people who would give you the shirt off their back. it is great to hear their stories. Minor suggestion, but would ask the host to dig into the guests history a little more. There some great stories that the guests may have forgotten about that you may ask them about. Ping some motorcycle mag editors for possible topics. Don't forget people like Dick Burleson. How about Trackhouse racing? Keep up the great work!

A very driven person
Revisado: 01-04-24
I am a big music fan and Geddy is one of my favorite bass players. I'm not a bio guy, but gave this a shot since I recently joined Audible. It is a very good listen, but from a different perspective than expected. The trauma he experienced when growing up obviously had an impact on him. Very focused and driven he put his intellect, passion and talent to use. It seemed like they were on tour constantly. The book moves fast because there is a lot of ground to cover. Enjoyable listen.
