Silence of the Lambs
Revisado: 10-20-24
I liked the similarity with Silence of the Lambs and the narration was excellent. I liked that different voice actors were used for the characters.

Historia
Two women. Many aliases. Meg Williams. Maggie Littleton. Melody Wilde. Different names for the same person, depending on the town, depending on the job. She's a con artist who erases herself to become whoever you need her to be—a college student. A life coach. A real estate agent. Nothing about her is real. She slides alongside you and tells you exactly what you need to hear, and by the time she's done, you've likely lost everything.

Wow! A Red Pill to Human Trafficking!
Revisado: 07-02-22
This book was thrilling and kept me engaged through the whole book. Although it has trigger warnings and is only fiction, it is a very eye opening look into what is happening to the 800,000 children and young girls that go missing every year. Human Trafficking is Real and not talked about enough because it’s a horrible realization that no one wants to think about. Sometimes we need to take our head out of the sand and that is why I gave this 5 stars!

Historia
True crime writer Wylie Lark doesn’t mind being snowed in at the isolated farmhouse where she’s retreated to write her new book. A cozy fire, complete silence. It would be perfect, if not for the fact that decades earlier, at this very house, two people were murdered in cold blood and a girl disappeared without a trace.

WOW!!! SO GOOD!!
Revisado: 04-05-22
I LOVED this book!! As someone who grew up in Iowa, this book intrigued me and I couldn’t stop listening to it! I finished it in less than 2 days! There are 3 stories going on and it jumps from past to present and leaves you wondering how all these people relate to what’s going on; but it all eventually comes together. I really love Brittany Presley as a Narrater too! She always does a good job of the characters! If you like Crime Suspenseful Thrillers, then this one is a must!!

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Very Good! Highly Recommend!
Revisado: 04-03-22
Slow paced but still leaves you wanting to know what happens next. It starts out in the 1950’s about a young girl who lives with her family in the Marsh of the Carolinas. The family is dirt poor and she finds herself abandoned by them. Alone, she struggles to survive on her own. She has a couple of others who help her along the way. She longs to be accepted by society but she is referred to as “The Marsh Girl” and is looked at as dirty and trash. The story also will skip from past to present and has a murder mystery element. I really enjoyed this book. It sets off many emotions as you grow up with this little girl and find out what happens to her! A Good Read and Highly Recommend!
