I’ve listened to Adam Young’s podcast for years - it has been a lifeline to help me understand what had landed me in the last third of life with little understanding of my persistent pain. This book takes the concepts I’ve heard him talk about and puts them in one easy-to-access place in a logical, easy-to-follow sequence. I want everyone I love to experience the freedom and healing I’ve found from engaging my story, and now I have just the tool to invite them into the healing journey of story work. Thank you, Adam!

How I wish I’d had this book 40+ years ago. The message I received from the authorities of the day unwittingly set us up for years of misinformation leading to heartache. Hooray for these gutsy ladies setting the record straight!

Very satisfying

Requires too much suspension of belief

I was drawn into this story at first, but the deeper the story went, the less engaged I became. Too many romance tropes - two young characters are “in love” after knowing each other for a couple of weeks, and of course having a magical experience of perfect sex, and the guy in the r’ship has no flaws. Too many main characters. A missing person mystery that was resolved in a very unsatisfying way. I found myself listening just to have completed the book.
