I'm sorry. :(
Revisado: 03-14-20
I tried to finish the book because it did seem funny. And it was, at least for the parts I got to listen to. I LOL-ed a lot because I could relate. (I was born in the early 80s.)
But the narration was very distracting, like forcing yourself to listen to that nerdy cousin everyone else avoids during your family reunion, because you want to be polite and you feel sorry for them. So you sit there and smile though you're dying to leave. I can't get past the first chapter.

I liked how the story flowed. It was a bit confusing at times because of the poetry, but overall, the story captured my interest and imagination throughout.
The narrator enunciated the words clearly, and his voice was easy to listen to.

This self-help book slash memoir is one you shouldn't miss. It's a must-read for those who take life too seriously, have no idea what they're doing in life, and everyone in between. It is hilarious from start to finish, but makes perfect sense.
Kelli Lindsay has given the right amount of cheekiness and attitude in her narration, which made the book a lot more fun to listen to.
Highly recommended.

Historia
At the turn of the 20th century, many affluent Brooklyn teens and young adults were bucking the constraints of their immigrant parents and behaving badly: drinking, having sex, staying out all night, stealing, scamming local businesses, and engaging in other more serious activities. When 20-year-old Walter Brooks was murdered in a seedy Manhattan hotel in 1902, the ensuing court case was front-page news throughout the country.

Turn of the century setting and true crime are 2 things I dig, so when I saw this title I immediately got interested.
The flow of the narrative was good. This is not a very well-documented case, and the author had to rely mainly on newspaper reports and editorials of that time, so it is understandable for her to base a lot on speculation.
The narration was also good. Her voice was clear and enunciation perfect and not distracting.
