As the child of refugees of World War II Europe and a renowned philosopher and scholar of propaganda, Jason Stanley has a deep understanding of how democratic societies can be vulnerable to fascism: Nations don’t have to be fascist to suffer from fascist politics. Historia
Totalitarianism is not a coincidence and does not form in a vacuum. It arises from a collective psychosis that has followed a predictable script throughout history. In The Psychology of Totalitarianism, world-renowned Professor of Clinical Psychology Mattias Desmet deconstructs the societal conditions that allow this collective psychosis to take hold. By looking at our current situation and identifying the phenomenon of “mass formation”—a type of collective hypnosis—he clearly illustrates how close we are to surrendering to totalitarian regimes.

Historia
Ukraine's sudden prominence in American politics has compounded an already-widespread misunderstanding of what is actually happening in the nation. In the American media, Ukraine has come to signify an inherently corrupt place, rather than a real country struggling in the face of great challenges. Ukraine: What Everyone Needs to Know addresses Ukraine's relations with the West, particularly the United States, from the perspective of Ukrainians.

Historia
By the 1890s, Wilmington was North Carolina’s largest city and a shining example of a mixed-race community. It was a bustling port city with a burgeoning African American middle class and a Fusionist government of Republicans and Populists that included black aldermen, police officers, and magistrates. There were successful black-owned businesses and an African American newspaper, The Record. But across the state - and the South - white supremacist Democrats were working to reverse the advances made by former slaves and their progeny.

Historia
This book describes the odd coalition between Germany and Finland in World War II, and their joint military operations from 1941 to 1945. This is a topic often missing in English, though in stark contrast to the numerous books on the shorter and less bloody Winter War. That conflict represented a gallant fight of a democratic “David” against a totalitarian “Goliath” that caught the imagination of the world. The story of Finland fighting alongside a “Goliath” of its own has not brought pride to that nation and was a period many Finns would rather forget.

A Topic Few Have Had the Gumption to Write on
Revisado: 06-10-19
A well written book about a topic few have the fortitude to write about. It was humbling, embarrassing and rewarding to read about this side of the Corps. We unfortunately need more brave souls like this to speak up and bring about the changes so desperately needed.

Investigative journalist and conspiracy expert Jerome Corsi goes into shocking detail about how this Deep State, or Shadow Government, secretly wields power in Washington and why it is dangerous.

Garbage
Revisado: 02-24-19
I'm glad I didn't pay to read this. The author's half-baked conspiracy theories are loosely based in reality and do not even attempt to be based on facts and good argumentation. He holds opposing theories to a journalistic standard which he does not uphold himself. His biased, black-and-white view of the world the problem he attempts to talk around. I only read this book to see what some of the extreme, conspiracy theory wackos are up to today. It never fails to amaze me how these guys view globalization as a threat and force that can and should be stopped. And somehow America's leadership in a globalized world is bad and doesn't remotely serve our interests. And probably most absurd is that DJT is now the champion of true democracy?!?! No wonder the author ended up over at Infowars (but only briefly). Do not but this book. Don't waste your time. Don't give this wacko any of your money.
